Hamburg Alster Tour Part 1 - EN

Hello friends,

When visiting the Hanseatic city of Hamburg, a boat trip on the Alster is a must, of course. Here there are different tours about which one can inform oneself in detail on the following website. The tour most often booked by tourists is the classic Alster tour with a launch.

The tour starts at the Jungfernstieg on the Binnenalster and sails once around the Außenalster near the shore. There's always something going on at Jungfernstieg, where you often meet street musicians or other small artists.

The Binnenalster around the Jungfernstieg and Ballindamm seems a little like an artificial basin, but is part of the Alstersee and flows off in the southern corner below the Jungfernstieg via the small Alster into the Elbe. From here, the excursion steamers depart in the direction of the Außenalster.

At the Neuen Jungfernstieg is the traditional Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten where Udo Lindenberg, a german singer, has been living for many years.

In the middle of the Binnenalster there is the Alster fountain which you can see from the boat.

With the excursion steamer you leave the Binnenalster through the Lombradsbrücke and the Kennedybrücke

After the exit of the Binnenalster to the Außenalster you can see the two rowing clubs Favorite Hammonia and Hamburger and Germania Ruder Club on the left side.

On the right side you can see the Hotel Atlantic Kempinski, which we all know from the James Bond movie "Tomorrow never dies".

Then the traditional rowing club "Allemannia von 1866" also appears on the right-hand side.

I hope you enjoyed the contribution - and I would be happy about your feedback and of course about some upvotes.
