I read there's some initiative undertaken by some witnesses to link SBD with USD. That would mean SBD would need to drop in value by ~60% unless they just split each SBD into 3 SBD intitially.

Just reading through posts I saw one of the witnesses lobbying against that idea, so I guess there must be some push from others towards it. You vote for witness and witnesses vote for changes, so it's up to communities at the end to shape the future. If you have your own opinion then pick a witness which has similar views to yours!
I have not heard about anyone lobbying but thank you so much for this info. I am loving what i am experiencing on steemit and the updates.I am sure you also post very informative posts on your blog.
