I’m going to be evil and hope it dips more over the next few months. It’s tight right now but later this summer I’ll have some extra fiat. Would like to load up on Steem at an even lower price.
I'm all in favor of BTC getting beaten down all the way to near the actual mining cost ($3500-4000-ish), taking a bunch of others along for the ride.
Once there... people are going to start asking whether the blockchain technology is valid... and discover that "Yes, it is." Then "value" investors are going to start bargain hunting selectively.. and good/solid projects are going to bounce right back up... while most of the shitcoins will probably stay in the basement. Since there actually IS a viable plan for the Steem blockchain, we should be part of that bounce.
So I'm just going to keep posting... nothing to see here!

The part that is frustrating is that most of my investments are down by like a thousand percent at this point. If somebody was to jump into those coins now, for every $100 they put in that would equal $1,000 that I had previously put in. It's possible that everything will go back up to where it was before....but there's no way anybody can say that things are equal for the early investors..... we are definitely going to lose money versus the people that waited to get in and that's a bit frustrating.
The best thing to do all year long would have been to just put your money into tether. SBD would have made sense too, if it was actually Pegged at $1 but that wasn't the case.
All previous price predictions made in December are looking really ridiculous.... and my plans to buy a small house seem completely out of bounds at this point since I can barely afford a lawn mower, not that I would ever actually use it.
Having said that, I do believe things will start going up.... it just sucks that we might reach equality level around December or January instead of flying to the moon like we previously thought.

You are absolutely right @jeezzle!! This time is a bit frustrating to the crypto lovers. Off course the market is in down trend from past six months..and your statement is true that early investors like (those invested from November 2017 - January 2018) are at big loss. I am also one among them!
But my heart is saying crypto is not going any where. This is the future..! Today or tomorrow entire world will adopt this technology gradually. And off course our day will also come one day!
And as far as STEEM and STEEM DOLLAR is concerned...this has given an out standing platform for us (steemit & dtube) ...and in my views it is a biggest competitor for Facebook and Youtube.
On the bight side it looks like you do have a decent chunk of Steem. Feel free to make some money and help me take it to the moon.

Actually, your stake is earning stake. We'll be fine. We are close to in the same boat. Imagine a recovery (October at the soonest, I'm just making that up)
When steem goes to $12. SMTs will be starting up strong.. : ) I have no idea what will happen roundhere was saying earlier that we should have sold high. I'm not buying it, slow and steady wins every investment race I've ever seen.

Yes, right now it does suck. I don't want to consider what my portfolio would be worth if I had invested and held. But I didn't. Live and learn. What I like about this post is the reminder that the ones who got rich gambled. They gambled that their efforts would pay off with no guarantee. I want to be that person. I'm OK with other people making out better than I do. That will mean we all did well. (accept for those who sell at the bottom)

We should all know that this stuff isn't super stable. It will up and down a few people will get rich, some will lose everything, and many of us will break even but, whatever, this is the place where I write my nonsense and post my questionable opinions so there is reason to stick around even if the price is kind of crappy right now.
