Holy fuck I like this post. Sorry for the profanity. I just really, really like this metaphor.

So like a heart transplant, our system needs time to rebuild itself. A new, more vigorous heartbeat can feed the process, but there's still old damaged tissue that has to clear out, and new tissue has to grow in its place. Metaphorically. You get it.
