Hello friends, how are you all? I hope you are all healthy and well. I am well, Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah. Today I have come to you again with a new post. Today I will share with you about the sellers or shopkeepers of various kinds of things sitting on the sidewalk or any side of the road. In urban areas, various small shops are always seen on the sidewalks along the roads. And various kinds of things are available from these shops. Especially in most roadside shops, small shops selling fruits, flowers, clothes, etc. are seen. Sometimes they are called hawkers. They sit around their goods in a small place every day. It is quite comfortable to buy things from them. Because they sell things in an open environment. Even though they are high, such businessmen sell things at a slightly lower price. Many times it is seen that they sell their things only when they have a small profit. Because when a street vendor or any other hawker starts a business, they have little capital and from this capital, they slowly save little by little and dream big. Anyway, I will review a small shop about them for you today.

01 What places did you visit and what types of hawker businesses did you review?

I went to the shop of a small hawker trader on the side of the road in our area, Hat Boalia market. Hat Boalia is a very big market. Since the market is very big, many small traders can be seen on both sides of the road. Whom we review as hawker traders. I reviewed the business of a fruit seller hawker on the side of the road in Hat Boalia big market. He started his business in a small space with a tree on the side of the road. He has many types of fruits. People are quite attracted to seeing such different fruits on the side of the road. And I went to buy fruits from them. The fruit seller hawker I went to had several types of fruits. Especially water melon which caught my attention. I had not seen water melon before so I went to eat this fruit. At any time, the fruits or various things of that season are available from the various hawkers selling on the side of the road. Moreover, the vendor I reviewed had several other types of fruits like kadbel, malta, kheer, dates, dragon fruit, guava, etc. He had taken a small space and arranged the fruits beautifully around them. Overall, I liked his work and the items he made.

02 Have you ever bought anything from these stores? Show pictures + videos and show their prices.

I always buy a lot of things from these street vendors. But I went to the big market in Hat Boalia and bought water melon from the vendor. I had never seen water melon before. I had never even heard of this water melon. So when I saw this water melon arranged on its branch by the vendor, I was quite surprised. Because it was a new fruit and it looked so beautiful. I first looked at the fruits with my hands. Then I bought one fruit from there and ate it. I liked it a lot, so I bought a kilogram of water melon from the vendor. Moreover, I bought small and large goods from there. I really like eating the goods. The vendors had decorated the goods very beautifully. The small goods were on one side and the big goods on the other side. I bought about a kilogram of small and large goods from there.

03 How do they face sidewalk occupation, eviction or police harassment?

When various traders sit on the sidewalks by the side of the road with small businesses, they face various forms of police harassment or eviction. I spoke to a trader who was a fruit trader. He was saying that when there is a procession or any disturbance, they are very scared. Many times, it is seen that when there is a fight or disturbance in the market, this fear comes to them after a long time. Traders on the sidewalks are not safe at all. There are some, there are some. Many times, it is heard that traders on the sidewalks are a little different. Again, it is seen that those who have more power or there is a businessman on the sidewalk who has a lot of power, then he evicts the businessman there to take a better place. The shops on the sidewalks are not permanent at all. Due to which, those who have a little more power or money, who have become big-quality basics, often start atrocities on small traders due to their greater power. Again, many times, when they do business on the street without following the conditions, they get the police's star and are harassed by the police.

04 What are their biggest challenges and hopes for continuing this business?

The biggest challenge in running a sidewalk business or a street vendor business is to survive there. The challenge of holding on to this small business and saving little by little and doing something big. The hope of how to grow from small. Every businessman thinks of how to save money little by little from this small business and start a big business one day. The sidewalk or street vendor business is very difficult. Here, there is no security for oneself, and then starting a business in an open environment again, knowing about the environment there, adapting oneself to the environment. All in all, when a sidewalk business is started, this business is started with a lot of hope and a big challenge with the environment. There is no security in the sidewalk business, it is not like I will do this business here, I will be like myself, this is the story of a street vendor brother. From here, you have to strengthen yourself, adapt yourself to the environment, and slowly raise yourself up in harmony with everyone. However, for this you need your own morale, strength and money. Growing a sidewalk or street vendor business from small to large is the biggest challenge. And this small business is being seen as a big hope for these businessmen. They continue this business with the hope of someday turning it into a big business from a small one.
