SLC-S27/W5 | A One-Day Street Journalist : The Struggle of Street Hawkers
Assalamu Alaikum..!!
My Dear Friends,
I am @jannatakter24 from #Bangladesh 🇧🇩
Hello my dear Steemit friends. First of all, take my love and best regards. Today I am here to participate in "SLC-S27/W5 | A One-Day Street Journalist : The Struggle of Street Hawkers" contest.First of all I would like to thanks @max-pro vaiya for organise a beautiful competition.
Today I am here as a journalist for a day to investigate the hawker business. Today I will investigate how a hawker businessman makes a living by running a business on the sidewalk. So let's get started.
When I go to the market, I see different types of hawker businesses. Some people sell clothes on the sidewalk, pots and pans, different types of food, fruits, etc. You can see hawker businesses. Today I drove a cloth van. Usually cloth sellers travel around in vans to sell clothes. Different types of clothes are available here. Gauze cloth, three-piece, flying, children's clothes, etc. They sell these different types of clothes in vans on the sidewalk in a small space. They arrange different types of women's, men's or children's clothes in small vans.
Yes, I bought my necessary clothes from these shops. I bought some printed gauze cloth and one color gauze cloth. Hawker traders sell anything very cheaply. Below are the prices and videos of some of the things -

Footpath occupation, eviction or police harassment is a common occurrence. Hawker traders temporarily occupy the footpath and do business. They move around from one place to another for a few days. Sometimes they have to face police harassment because they occupy the footpath on the main road. Due to the fact that they occupy the footpath and do business and block the road for people, sometimes the police come and evict them from the footpath. So they are always ready if the police come and want to evict the business so that they can leave that place quickly.
They have to face challenges every time they run this business. And they have to face these challenges and earn their living by running their business. They do business on the streets, on the sidewalks, in vans. They do not have a roof over their heads or a permanent place. Sometimes it is sunny, sometimes it is rainy, and sometimes a big leader or police comes and evicts them from the sidewalk. Facing these big challenges, they constantly dream of becoming a big business from a small business. They hope that through the success of this business, they will be able to become a big businessman one day and can earn a living by running this small hawker business.
