SLC26-W3 | Street Business Diaries: Street Cobbler, Mobile Accessories or Street Clothes.
Greetings friends,
In the 3rd week of Street Business Diaries, we are going to get acquainted with small businesses like Street Cobbler, Mobile Accessories or Street Clothes. This week we will get to know different stories about small businesses standing on the streets of cities and villages. Thanks to @max-pro brother for bringing this wonderful theme to us. The small businesses mentioned in this year's Street Business Diaries competition are related to our daily lives. Today I will try to review Street Clothes in detail.
What type of daily necessities business is most demand in your area? (Street Cobbler, Mobile Accessories or Street Clothes etc.)
The small businesses mentioned above play a very important role in our daily lives. The small businesses mentioned above, Street Cobbler, Mobile Accessories or Street Clothes, make our lives easier every day. Below I am trying to present the matter with my comments.👇👇
Mobile Accessories Business: The present era is called the era of information technology. The modern spread of science has made our lives easier. In that context, almost everyone uses phones these days. So small items like chargers, headphones, covers, screen protectors and batteries can be easily bought from various street shops on the side of the road.
Street Cobblers Business : Our country is home to all types of workers and professionals. Although the street cobblers business is a small business, it still plays a very important role in the lives of the people. It is not possible for a daily wage worker to buy new shoes as soon as the sandals, shoes and slippers wear out, and since it costs much less to repair the old ones than to buy new ones, various working class people resort to street cobblers. Many people depend on them.
Street clothes Affordable clothes are always in demand, especially for the low and middle income people who shop in the market every day. Low and middle income people can buy clothes from street shops at affordable prices. Lower and middle class families are very dependent on street shops. Clothes are one of our basic needs, which is very important in our daily life.
If I compare the three things mentioned (street cobblers, mobile accessories, street clothes), then it can be seen that the demand for clothes is higher. Because mobile accessories are not needed every day, they can get damaged or broken after a certain time. On the other hand, the demand for street cobblers is only when our shoes and sandals get torn. But without clothes, an important part of our daily life is immobile.
Upper class, middle class, lower class all need clothes. Everyone buys their clothes considering their financial status. Lower class people always rely on street clothes, whether it is winter or summer. After the details, I would like to say that in my area, the demand for street clothes is the highest for daily necessities.
Have you bought these yourself or visited them? Show pictures + videos and show their prices.
Yes, I have bought from street clothing shops. These are available at affordable prices, so more or less all types of people's needs are available in street clothing shops. I like to buy my children's regular wear clothes from street clothing shops. These street clothing shops are affordable and have a variety of clothes. I have tried to show the clothes that are more available in street clothing shops through pictures below.

A short video of me while I was shopping.
How do people behave towards street vendors? (sympathetic, ignoring, bargaining etc.)
People's behavior towards street vendors creates mixed feelings.
√ Bargaining with vendors is the most common behavior. Customers almost always bargain to reduce prices, even for small items.
√ Some people show sympathy and respect to vendors, especially if the vendor is poor, looks old, or is having a hard time in favorable weather.
√ Many people ignore vendors if they do not need the product, sometimes not even looking at their stall.
√ Some buyers are friendly and loyal to vendors. Good friendships with vendors develop from daily shopping.
√ Sometimes some people are impatient or rude to vendors, especially if the buyer thinks the price is high or they are in a hurry.
Bargaining, casual ignoring are the most common behaviors, but sympathy is also present, especially during hot weather or difficult times like Ramadan.
What is the quality of these products? Also, if you have any experience with how long they last, please tell me.
The quality of street vendors' products usually varies depending on the type of product. These products are usually of low durability, and the quality is not very good. Even then, low-income people rely on these street vendors.
√ Street-side mobile accessory products are mostly low-cost, non-branded products. Chargers, earphones or cables may work fine at first, but may stop working within a few weeks or months. Phone covers or screen protectors usually last longer, as they do not rely on electricity.
√ The quality of clothes purchased from street clothing stores is often average to poor. The stitching of the clothes is not very durable and lasts only a few months with daily use. However, they are very cheap and affordable, so people do not expect long-lasting quality.
√ Repairs from street-side cobblers are usually worth the price. If a cobbler fixes the soles of a shoe or sews a pair of slippers, it can last for months, although not as strong as a brand-new product.
Finally, I would like to say from my experience that mobile chargers and earphones from street vendors often last only 1-2 months, shoes repaired by cobblers usually last about 2-3 months and break again. The fabric may fade or tear after a few washes but it is still functional for general use. People can enjoy these facilities for little money so they do not consider the quality of the product.
