I visited the Hussaini Dalan, a historical structure in the Bakshibazar area of ​​Dhaka, the capital of our country. Mir Murad built the structure around 1700 during the Mughal period. It is used as a place of worship for the Shia community. The Shia community takes out a Tazia procession here every year in memory of Imam Hussain (AS). The structure, built during the Mughal period, was later renovated several times. It is ranked as the oldest building in Old Dhaka.

Although the Hosseini building is an old structure, the Shia community uses it as a place of worship. There is a shrine of an elderly person from the Shia community. Many people visit the building every day. There are two gates to enter the place of worship. The building is designed in different Arabic styles. There is a large pond in front of the Hosseini building. There are some ducks in the pond along with fish. Visitors feed the fish and ducks in the pond.

Drinking water has been provided for visitors to the Hussaini Dalan. There is a large graveyard in front of the establishment. The front of the establishment is kept clean. There is an ablution room at the entrance to the establishment. There is a place to keep shoes. There are some large trees in front of the establishment. There is a large mosque next to the Hussaini Dalan.

The beauty of the establishment has been enhanced by installing electric lights inside. The establishment is a monument to the Mughal period. Law enforcement officers provide security in front of the establishment. In addition, CCTV cameras have been installed around the establishment. The establishment is being used as a place of worship for the Shia community. After I entered the establishment, the Maghrib call to prayer was given. We know that the religious principles of the Shia community are different from those of the Sunni Muslim community. While praying the Maghrib prayer, I saw some differences in their call to prayer and prayer rules that did not resonate with me. I am a Sunni Muslim. A visitor brought sweets to the place of worship. We all ate sweets. I have always heard about the Hussaini Dalan establishment in books or on social media. Today I saw the establishment for the first time.

There is a pond next to the establishment. Ducks are kept in the pond along with fish. I stood next to the establishment and took a few pictures. I also saw the firefighting system inside the establishment. Tourists come and offer flowers to a shrine inside the establishment. There is a separate place of worship for women inside the establishment. Among the historical establishments of Old Dhaka, the Hussaini Dalan is the only place of worship for the Shia community.
