Today, by participating in this competition, I will share my experience as a journalist with you all about various festival-oriented businesses in my area.In our country, people of different religions live together in harmony.Regardless of caste and religion, everyone practices their own religion, but people of different religions have different festivals.Just as Muslims have two religious festivals, the biggest religious festival of Hindus is the universal Durga festival.Just as our Muslims conduct various types of businesses around the two Eids, Hindus organize many big festivals around the Durga Puja.Traders conduct their various businesses around this festival.Similarly, a festive atmosphere has been created in our area during the biggest universal Durga festival of Hindus. As a journalist, I reviewing the festive business of the biggest Durga festival in my area, Nishchintapur Temple.

In our area, especially Hindus and Muslims are living together in harmony.Just as Muslims have two religious festivals, Hindus also have a big universal Durga festival. They run various types of businesses around this festival.Various festivals are celebrated in our area, sometimes it is the Baisakhi festival, sometimes the spring festival, sometimes the Eid festival, and sometimes the Durga festival.Everyone comes together to celebrate this festival, and some businessmen run their businesses around this festival.

Sometimes, a festive atmosphere is created around large gatherings, seminars, or various large events, and businessmen operate their businesses on a small scale in this festive atmosphere. In this festive atmosphere, traders set up temporary shops and run their businesses, including various fast food outlets, and These temporary shops include a variety of children's toys, women's daily necessities and household goods, and finally, women's cosmetics. These temporary shops sell various types of sweets which become the main attraction of the festival.

Since people of all classes come to these festive environments, various types of temporary rides are set up here to attract everyone. One of the most traditional rides in rural Bengal is the Nagardola.Usually, the people of the village eagerly wait for a festival to take place in the village and during that festival, they will be able to buy various traditional items and ride on the traditional Nagar Dola. They set up rides like horse swings, boat swings, etc. to attract children.

Have you ever bought anything from these stores? Show pictures + videos and show their prices.

Since she is very small, I bought a wooden pot for her, which she really liked and needed. Then I bought wooden flutes and wooden toys and some cosmetics from the shops. Then I bought the most interesting and delicious barfi at the fair. Everything at the fair was at very reasonable prices. One of the features of the fair is that every item can be bought here by bargaining with the shopkeepers in a very nice way.The local price and Steam price of each item purchased from the fair are given below:

Are these businesses contributing to preserving local culture?

Yes, of course these businesses play an important role in preserving culture. It strengthens cultural bonds between communities by bringing together various festivals and social rituals, while also encouraging the new generation to learn about and love their heritage.Usually, traders select different types of products for different festivals.Usually, traders select different types of products for their business depending on the festival.

These businesses usually promote traditional arts. They display pottery and various handicrafts at various fairs, which pass on the traditions of the past to the new generation.

A fair is a meeting place for people from different regions where they can exchange culture and traditions with each other.Through this, local culture becomes known to people from other regions.Typically, these businesses introduce the younger generation to their own traditions and culture.By participating in the fair, they learn about their traditional culture and become interested in it.

So these festival-centric businesses are not just a business, they are also a joyful event, they are a living cultural institution that preserves and nurtures traditions and passes them on from generation to generation.
