The most important food in our daily life diet is vegetables. Vegetables contain a lot of vitamins and minerals which are very beneficial for our body. It is quite difficult to imagine our daily diet without vegetables, so we have to go to these vegetable hawker vans every day to buy these essential things. Today, through this competition, I will try to know more about those hawkers and share that experience with you.

Today I will review a small vegetable hawker van in my area. This vegetable van always sits in front of Gate No. 3 of Metro Knitting & Dyeing Mills Ltd. in our area. There were almost all kinds of vegetables here, many people buy their required vegetables from this van every day. Since this vegetable van sits in front of a garment, garment people buy more vegetables from here. When garment workers have their leave, they buy all the vegetables for their homes from these vans, especially in the evening when they have their leave and they leave for home, the number of customers in these vans is more. Since it is almost winter, now all kinds of winter vegetables were also available in this van and besides this, various other vegetables were also available in this van. Every vegetable in the van seemed very fresh to me and the prices of its vegetables were also quite reasonable.

Have you ever bought anything from these stores? Show pictures + videos and show their prices.
1000039358.jpgThe vegetables I bought from the van

Yes of course, I always buy all my required vegetables from these roadside vegetable van vendors. Because they bring a small amount of vegetables from the wholesale vegetable market every day, they are always fresh, and they also sell the vegetables with a very limited profit. In this way, we can easily get all the vegetables according to our needs near our home, without having to go far away to buy them. Also, when we buy vegetables from these vans, we can see and observe the vegetables with our own hands, which we could not have done if we bought them from the big vegetable market. I buy vegetables from these vegetable vans because of these advantages. Today, I have also bought many more vegetables from the van I reviewed, such as brinjal, cauliflower, cabbage, beans, green chilies and coriander leaves. I got all these vegetables for just 170 taka, which is only 16.52 steem.

How do they manage losses when vegetable prices fluctuate?
1000039382.jpgMeasuring scales for vegetables

Fluctuation in the price of vegetables is a common thing because all vegetables are available in different seasons, such as winter vegetables, summer vegetables. Vegetables that are only available in winter have a slightly lower price, and when winter passes and winter vegetables are stored to be sold in summer, the price of winter vegetables increases again. Similarly, when summer vegetables are stored and sold in winter, their price increases. But the price of vegetables in summer is relatively higher than the price of vegetables in winter, so there is a shortage of vegetables in the vegetable market.

Vegetable sellers can adopt various strategies to reduce their losses due to price fluctuations, such as they can buy good vegetables at a low price and sell them at a high price, they can buy more vegetables at the beginning of the season or when the price of vegetables is low and store them, they can sell them at a higher price when the price decreases, or if the price is high, they can sell them according to the demand of the buyers. Also, instead of depending on only one vegetable, they can sell different types of vegetables, so that even if the price of one vegetable decreases, they can profit from other vegetables. In addition, reducing transportation costs will increase profits. Buying vegetables directly from the wholesale market will reduce transportation costs. Price fluctuations are a natural process. So vegetable sellers have to be patient and deal with this situation.

How do they survive when there is a lack of buyers in the market?
1000039410.jpgThe vegetable van is on one side of the road

Vegetable sellers face various difficulties when there is a lack of buyers in the market. But to overcome all those difficulties, they can survive by adopting various strategies such as selling vegetables directly to the wholesale market or supermarket, attracting buyers by reducing prices, creating direct customers locally and maintaining the quality of the products. In addition, emphasis should be placed on selling and marketing in various ways, such as selling low-priced vegetables or packaged products and giving different offers, which will help them survive. They can also try to sell vegetables by changing their location.
By adopting these strategies, vegetable sellers can survive in the market and be profitable during times of lack of buyers.
