Contest Alert: Beyond Steemit's Walls
It's quite unfortunate that Steemit brings people together, but some of us have refused to be together. Most of us can't even have meaningful conversations with people of other countries because we feel they won't reply to us or something. Some people feel that there's a lot of favoritism, and they judge users behind their backs. Have you gotten to know these people well? The people you feel aren't the nicest may be the ones you may be especially fond of. I see some users finding it difficult to communicate or even cooperate with members of their own country.
Steemit is a social media platform, and the essence of this platform is to bring us together. Let's leave the competition aspect aside because what you may be looking for in life, another user may be the answer. I know this is quite abnormal, but I'm bringing this contest onboard so that we communicate with people from different countries, not just that of our own. There's this Pakistani user I came to know, and he can cure certain incurable diseases. How did I know? I conversed with him.
Some users may want to hide their identity for privacy, but regardless, we can still have meaningful conversations with others and still keep our privacy in check. So anyone participating in this contest must be able to communicate with someone outside his own country, not on Steemit, but on another social media platform.
Social media is all about collaboration and getting to know things from people at the top. How do you know these things when you can't reach out to those you're looking up to? Let's do something practical.
We have different social media platforms that we can converse on without exposing ourselves that much and some information about us. Discord, Telegram, and the likes. Even X

- Invite a Steemian from another country to chat with you either on WhatsApp, Discord, Telegram, or Instagram. Tell us the Steemian you choose and why.
- Did the user accept your invitation? If yes, you're to converse meaningfully with the Steemian. Don't ask questions that are too personal.
- Tell us what you discussed and why you chose to have that conversation. It could be Steemit related or something. Share screenshots.
- Was the conversation beneficial to you? How?
- Is it right to judge a person because of what you hear about that person's country people? Explain

- Get the picture of the Steemian and make a collage with it, including your own picture like the one used in the cover picture of this post.
- Don't call anyone on video call except the person accepts it.
- Publish on Steem Steem4Nigeria community.

- The participation time is open until post-payout.

Sincerely, @bossj23, this post you've made hits differently.
You see this statement,
it encapsulates a lot of truths. Steemit is just like any other social media platform. This is a place to promote your skills, share your experiences and learn from others.
You could find a job here. You could find a person to work on your next project together. You can even find for life partner here.
I remember reading a post one time. The author complained about a encountering a challenge. I dropped my contact requesting that they call me ASAP that I was willing to help.
I waited for one week, no response. What the person didn't know was that I was working on a project that could fetch this person not less than ₦300k that month. And this author was qualified.
Gosh, I am still pained that a steemian missed that opportunity.
Maybe the Holy Spirit had caused the author to make that post during that period so they benefit as well. But I understood that they might not have been comfortable with the idea of speaking with a complete stranger. Which is understandable.
Also, I know they might have found favour in other ways because I know the creator always supports us in our times of need.
But it reminded me that this is not just any regular space. This is a social space to mingle and grow.
"...what you may be looking for in life, another user may be the answer."
I pray I never forget this as well.
What did I just read... 300k? Oh my, my village people are at work.
One thing I've noticed, just like on other social media platforms, is that some people are very cautious about chatting with others outside of their immediate circle. I can't even recall if I've chatted with anyone outside my fellow countrymen.
I have a close friend with whom I chat about anything on Telegram. She encourages me to always do my best instead of comparing myself to others. I refer to her as my "mom," not to show off, but because I've disappointed her several times, yet she still believes in me. Many of you know about @wakeupkitty...
Does that ring a bell for you?
Recently, I reached out to a user named @cripto-pie by commenting on his post, 1, 2, 3... but I wasn't getting any response from him. A few days later, he finally replied.
I asked him why he never responds to comments on his posts, and he said that people don't always engage with him. However, I was impressed by his dedication and commitment to posting daily without fail. I've never seen anyone so creative when it comes to photography.
Though I may have lost his attention (I don't think he remembers I exist) 🤣, I still see him as a mentor. The funny thing is that I have no idea where he is from.

Wow. It's good to know you try to reach out to people from different countries and also have meaningful conversations with them. Why not try mentioning any other user? 😁
I mentioned 2 people in the comments....... Okay
Next week......I gonna reach out.
I got the ck test late and I couldn't just figure out everything that once
Like, you get! And these were high-profile clients. That was access. That was money. Still, some disappointments are blessings sha.
That's sad and my apologies for replying to this late. I've had meaningful conversations with people in different countries, but I've not gotten the opportunity to interact with those whose ranks are below 70. I hope to do this soon.
