Title: Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 140: Just Broken, Not Dead.
What's something that happened to you and felt impossible to get through but you did?
---
One of the most difficult experiences I went through was loosing a source of income when I started web3 projects. I felt overwhelming because when I pay money fto buy views, and likes just to notice that at the end of the submission of the link they will not pay me so I later became frustrated and I wasn't sure how I would meet my needs or support the people who depended on me.
At first, I felt worried, discouraged, and uncertain about the future. There were days when it seems impossible to find a way forward. However, instead of giving up , I focused on what I could control. I updated my skills and left web3 projects for a while because it wasn't easy because if wasting my money and still not paid. Over time, things began to improve. Now opportunities opened up, and I gradually regained financial stability. It showed me that even when a situation seems impossible, taking small steps every day can eventually lead to a breakthrough.
How has this tough time changed what you value most?
---
My journey in web3 was not always easy. There were times when projects failed, market crashed, communities bacame inactive, and opportunities I expected did not pay or work out. These challenges tested my patience, resilience and commitment. Through the experience, I learned that success does not happen overnight, I became more patient and willing to keep learning despite setbacks.
The tough moments taught me to focus on building real skills, creating value, and maintaining strong relationships within the community rather than chasing quick rewards. Today, what I value most bis knowledge, consistency, and genuine connection with people. I have come to appreciate the importance of trust, teamwork and supporting others in the ecosystem. The challenges I faced in Web3 helped me grow both personally and professionally, making me stronger.
What's a small win you've had recently that felt huge?
---
Small win I have had recently that felt huge was selling a pair of shoes that I had been trying to sell for several weeks. At first, I thought it would be easy, but finding the right buyer took time and patience. There were days when I received no messages, and some people showed interest but never completed the purchase.
Just when I started, I feel discouraged, a customer contacted me, loved the shoes, and agreed to buy them. When the sale was finally completed, I felt a great sense of accomplishments. To others, it may have seemed like a simple shoe sale, but to me it represented persistence, good communication, and the reward of not giving up, the experience reminded me that success doesn't always come in big moments, sometimes, a single sale can boost confidence towards bigger goals.
What's a new perspective you've gained in life or yourself? |
---
One new perspective I have gained about life is that growth doesn't always come From big breakthrough, it often comes from small, consistent actions that seem insignificant at all the time. For me, this became clear through my journey in web3 and community building. There were moments when progress felt slow, opportunity didn't come as expected, and some effort seemed to go unnoticed.
I have learned that success isn't just about reaching a destination. It's about becoming the kind of person who can handle challenges, adapt to change, and keep moving forward despite setbacks. Difficult season taught me patience, while achievements taught me gratitude. Today, I see myself as someone who is stronger, more patient, and more capable than I once believed. Every challenge has become a lesson, and every lesson has helped shape the person I am becoming. I therefore invite @dhizy, @bossj23, @peacemike to participate in the contest.
