Contest: “The Value of Time”

Imagine that you are inside a heavy traffic on a morning. You are already late for interview which can change your life. You are inside a transportation bus, conductor shouting “Enter with your change o!” but traffic has block everywhere. You hold ₦1,000 for your hand, but the three hours which you spend for that traffic can't be buy back. Even if you dash a person the ₦1,000, it won't reduce the time which you have already minus from your life. That kind of situation do make a person to reason that time is something that's is important than money.

Everybody do hustle for money. We know that money is sweet—if you have it you'll eat better food, buy fine clothes, even flex your life small for the weekend. But the truth is that,money is a resource which can come and go. You can lose it today and still hustle it back tomorrow. Time is not like that. Time is life itself. If you do waste it, it your life session you are wasting.

Elders do always say that “time is life, don't play with it.” It's time that give you chance to make money, build relationship, chase dream, or even rest well. If you don't respect time, even money will be running away from you.

I remember one time which I do wait for one friend which promise me business connection. I carried myself go to sit down for one corner from morning till evening, waiting. The guy didn't show. That day, I was really angry, I didn't eat. I realize that I waste the whole day which I can use to do something much better. From that experience, I learn that I won't ever depend on a person which is not a sure hope. So If the plan is not very clear, I will just use my time to do another thing much better.

However on the other hand, I also remember when I use my time wisely. During my school time, instead of just playing ball every day, I join one ICT training. That small decision open door for me later because it's that skill which help me to get a job. I learn that if I invest my time very well, it will pay back like a compound interest. That kind wise use of time do show that even small effort can turn to many big blessing later.

Time management is a serious matter. Here are some simple ways whiche and you can manage time better:

• Just plan your day: Even if it's a small jotter, write what you want to achieve. Don't go about aimlessly.

• Avoid unnecessary gist: We all love gist,but sometimes gist do eat time which you can use to do better thing.

• Use alarm or reminder: If you do forget, set alarm. It will help you to keep track.

• Prioritize: It's not every matter deserve your time. Focus on what will give you a better result.

• Cut procrastination: That “I will do it later” do kill time than anything. So If you can do it now, just do it don't wait.

• Balance enjoyment and work: Life is not only to hustle excersice, play and have fun. But if you do play too much, time will come and go without achievement.

• Respect appointments: If you are always late, you will waste your own time and another persons own. So try to be punctual.

It is small discipline that help a person to manage time very well. Therefore If you are really consistent at a normal, you will surely see that your life will be more well organized.

If I have the power to rewind time, I will change the decision which make me ignore one scholarship opportunity because I do fear that I won't cope. That fear was a waste. If I grab it, maybe today I would have been on another level. The reason why I will change it is because I realize that fear do waste time and opportunity. Sometimes, you just need courage to jump. Time doesn't wait for anybody, and opportunity don't knock twice. If you miss it, it can take long before another one show.

Time is like water which flow at the river. You can fetch it small, but you can't stop it from flowing. So far that money is sweet, but time is much precious than money. If you manage your time well, money will follow. If you waste it, regret will knock at your door. So in all, let us all be wise—because for this life, time is the real currency.
