Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 120: What I Will Do Differently This Year

|Were there things you felt you didn't do well in the previous year and how did it affect you?

I was only nursing in my heart, furthering my education. But I lacked the motivation within me. Rather, I yielded to procrastination until the time I i had passed, and it was too late to process anything at the last minute. It was later that I regretted it; it affected me so badly that I should have pushed myself into something else, but rather I wasted my time.

|What were the limiting factors or the cause of the poor outcome? Do you know better now?

The limited factors could be blamed on money, which I didn't plan on in time. I would have saved some money for clearance in the school before; once that was done, I would have proceeded to purchase the master's degree program form. Like I said, the motivation in me was not there even when had it in mind; I also didn't ask the right questions from direct sources to counsel me. I thought it would just be like an undergraduate program. I completely did not know what I was pursuing. Do you know better now? I will say yes! I started asking the right questions and following up on everything from those ahead of me, and I am satisfied with my next step.

|Is there a need for you to do those things again better this year, or do you now consider them irrelevant?

	Pushing to Succeed in 2026 - Screening for Further Studies

Furthering academically can never be irrelevant. I am seriously working on it. Surprisingly, I saw this contest while I was in the postgraduate school of the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. Immediately I saw it, I was like, “This contest is in the right perspective for me to participate. I am now mentally and psychologically ready to go further. I started saving some money for it. Forms had been purchased, research proposals submitted, and my name is out; therefore, learning from my past has yielded fruitfully.

|How do you feel about the new year, generally?

There has not been a year like 2026; I am filled with hope and motivation. Not only for furthering academically, but I am excited and inspired by the big dreams ahead of me, which God will bring to pass. I am expecting a lot of achievements for myself, my wife, my friends, and my entire family. Immediately I saw the theme of our church for 2026 tagged “Grace Upon Grace.” I keyed into it on the 31st night (December 2025); it has been working for me, and I believe it is working for my fellow Steemians also.In conclusion, I will say that 2025 came with its peculiarities; there were some good moments and some ugly ones, but moving into 2026, I must build my lessons from my mistakes, limitations, and the effects on me and have a triumphant 2026 by the grace of God.
