I am @freshgrace bringing you greetings from Uyo in Akwa Ibom State. How are you all doing? May God continue to bless you all in Jesus Christ's name AMEN21X.

My day was full of activities at school. Teaching six (6) classes in Computer Studies. At some point, I was exhausted but I had to push on as next week we may have our first test as it is in the scheme of work of the school. I always feel incomplete not teaching them during my period. Every day in school is a big day for me. If I don't teach other people's children well, how will I expect another to teach mine well too?

We are molding leaders, we give them what will help them in the future, we are showing them the way, we are transferring and transmitting knowledge into them and as such cannot afford to play down the best teaching career.

WHAT YOU SHOULD NOT DO AS A TEACHER

-If you're a lazy type, don't teach children.
-If you cannot tolerate it, don't teach children.
-If you can't love their way, don't teach children.
-If you don't have patience don't teach children.

The above principles help shape my engagements with children because some of them can be funny with their actions and what seems to be stubbornness in them.

Having digested the above, let me connect you to my day and how I spent it in school.

I woke at exactly 5:01 am as my alarm rang. First was to thank God and immediately turned to my wife for our family devotion. After that, the normal duties of preparing my son for school were calling on me while the boy himself was still enjoying the morning dose of sleep. I quickly boiled water for him to bathe while food was handled by his mother. After bathing him, I ironed our clothes and we left the house at 7:15 am. I waited for the school bus to carry my son to the other block of the school but I was running late because the bus did not come on time. I had to take him through Four Lanes (popularly known as the water fountain area) by Nwaniba Road Uyo.

We spent about 10 minutes looking for keke that is going my way, as the Ewet housing Estate does not have direct means of transportation from where I took the route to school except you take and stop at a location very close to where you can trek. That was the only option to avoid being late for school.

At Four Lanes Area

I got to school at 7:42 am, the assembly was done and the next classes began. I was looking for a class free for me, I started with primary 3 and thought of starting up a computer system: the booting of a computer was the first point. From there I taught the transition class the components of computers; last week was the monitor and today we learned and drew the system unit (CPU). The same curriculum for primary 1 but with semantics differences. The aim and objective of the studies is for the pupils to be able to see and identify the system unit of a computer.

After School Devotion

In Primary 2, we handled the End User and the use of the computer system. This topic helped the pupils to know how computers are used by different and for different purposes. The pupils and students use computers, engineers, doctors, teachers for education purposes and so on. It was a class to let the pupils know that everyone needs to have the knowledge and how to operate it.

For those in Primary 4 and 5, I merged them to continue from where we ended last week on how to visit the internet, but today, we learned how to open a Google or Yahoo account. At the end of the class, the pupils should know the steps of opening an email account.

Click on the Google environment.
Click on Create New Account
Insert your name, sex, and birthday
Write your email (username) the way you want it or select from the choices popping up.

After all the classes in the afternoon, I was tired and relaxing in my chair to mark notes of those in Transition, Primary 1 to correct their wrong spellings and those who can't write well.

By 2 pm, I left the school and went home to get some rest. I had my lunch, bath, and tried to sleep but my son was disturbing me, playing all around me. I left with no option but to put him to sleep, I will not have my peace. The mother was not home, and it became serious for me to battle with him. Finally, he went down, and I joined him to sleep until evening.

I didn't do much in the evening, I had watched the Champions League matches: Bodo vs Manchester City, Arsenal vs Inter Milan, and Real Madrid vs Monaco. Since I was watching at home, it was good for me to switch from one channel to another.

Body Glimt beating Manchester City 3 - 1 might have been the shocker of the week. And on the other hand, it was predictable for Real Madrid to win against Monaco but not by a margin of 6 goals to 1. Arsenal also proved their quality and dominance, not only in the Premier League but extended in the UCL by humbling Inter Milan to a 3 - 1 victory.
