Being true to oneself is like an easy thing to do. But in reality it is the most difficult test of a person's life. This does not mean that a person should do what he wants all the time. But rather it actually means that a person should make decisions according to his conscience. His principles and his training. Even if the circumstances are against him. In today's era where there is pressure competition. And the influence of people's opinions on every side being true to oneself is a matter of great courage.

There was an incident in my life. When I had to choose between my principles and my friendship. Guys some of my close friends did something wrong. And asked me to lie for them if anyone asked. At that time a strange conflict began in my heart. On one side were my friends with whom I had spent time. And on the other side was my training which always guided me towards the truth.

After much thought I chose not to lie, even if it upset my friends. When I refused him he got really angry. And did not even talk to me for a few days. At that time I was definitely sad. But I also had a peace inside that I had not lost myself.

Over time he also realized that my decision was not wrong. This incident taught me that being true to yourself can be difficult at times. But ultimately it is the path that gives a person dignity and peace. If we give in to pressure from others every time. We lose our identity. And there comes a time when we do not even know who we really are. That’s why to me being true to yourself is the foundation of integrity. Because that’s what makes a person strong from within.

Making promises is very easy. But keeping them reveals the true character of a person. When we make a promise to someone. Create hope in their heart and assure them that they can trust us. If we keep breaking our promises people. Gradually stop trusting us and our credibility is lost.

There is a time in my life. When I promise my mother to pay more attention to my studies. And not waste time. At first I did not take this promise seriously and kept busy with my old habits. But when I saw how much hope my mother had from me. And how much she believed in me I realized my mistake. I thought that if I did not fulfill my promise. I would not only be breaking a promise but also hurting her trust. After that I start to try to change myself. I start using my time better focusing on my studies and improving my habits.

When my mother saw my hard work. There was joy and pride in her eyes. And that moment was very precious to me. That day I realized that keeping promises is important not only for others but also for myself. Because it makes us a responsible and strong person. A person who keeps his promises is nicely trustworthy. And this is what gives him respect in society.

Both telling the truth and being kind of good qualities. It is not the same. It is like being honest means telling the truth. No matter how difficult or bitter it may be. While being kind means caring for the feelings of others. And treating them with kindness and love. It often happens that we do not tell the truth to save someone. From pain and we think that we are doing a good job. But if we always hide the truth. This habit makes us weak and also affects our character. The main thing is to tell the truth. But in such a way that the other person does not suffer unnecessarily.

There was an incident in my life. When a friend of mine asked me for his opinion about his work. If I wanted to I would have told him just to please him that everything was fine. But in reality there was room for improvement in his work. I told him the truth. But in a gentle way so that he would not feel bad. At first he was a little surprised. But later he understood what I said and corrected his mistakes. After some time he told me that if I had not told him the truth. He would never have gotten better. This made me realize that speaking the truth. And being good together is the true wisdom.

Many people get stuck in this situation. Because peer pressure is very powerful. When a close friend asks us to lie to him. It is not easy for us to refuse. We feel that if we refuse the friendship might be ruined. There was also an incident in my life. When a friend of mine asked me to lie to his parents. So that he would avoid some trouble. At this time I get very upset. I did not want to see him in trouble. But guys I also did not want to go against my principles.

After thinking a lot I told him frankly that I wanted to help him. But not by lying. At first he was angry with me. And felt that I was not supporting him. But after some time he realized that. I had made the right decision.

He admitted his mistake and told the truth. After which the situation did not get as bad as he thought. This incident taught me that real friendship is the one that leads us to the truth. Not to accompany us on the wrong path.
If we support our friend in what is wrong. We are not actually helping him. But rather putting him in more trouble. Therefore we should always support the truth. No matter how difficult it may be.
