Assalamu Alaikum friends. Today I am here to participate in a wonderful Steemit challenge competition organized by @ninapenda. The Topic of this challenge is SLC-S29/W3-“Thinking and Ideas!| Seeing Problems Differently!”. So let's get started.

Identify one everyday problem in your community or country and explain some steps in solving them.

Our Bangladesh is small in size but has a large population. That is why Bangladesh has to face various problems in every field. However, we have to bear all the problems silently. Among them, there are many serious problems which are the main problems of Bangladesh. A daily problem of my community or country is the problem of load shedding.

This is the biggest problem of Bangladesh and due to this problem most of the people of Bangladesh are affected a lot. Such a situation has arisen that now sometimes there is no electricity in Bangladesh from 8 am to 5 pm. Due to this load shedding, the education system and the economic situation are greatly affected.

Load shedding problem is one of the main problems in Bangladesh. To solve this problem, the income generated from the electricity sector in Bangladesh must be applied to the right place. Basically, electricity must be supplied properly to all the places where electricity is generated in Bangladesh. All people in Bangladesh pay their electricity bills on time. However, some dishonest people do not add that current bill to the electricity sector of the Bangladesh government. This makes it difficult for us to purchase electricity. Due to this, there is a problem in supplying electricity. I think if electricity is supplied properly in Bangladesh, the load shedding problem will be solved.

Why do you think this problem still exists despite many people noticing it?

This problem is not of a few thousand or a few hundred thousand people in Bangladesh. This problem is of billions of people in Bangladesh. Despite the fact that it has come to the attention of many people, this problem still exists. Last year, our Bangladesh government was illegally overthrown.

That is why it is taking some time to form a new government. The previous government has a record of stealing several thousand crores of taka from the electricity sector. That is why all the public in Bangladesh are suffering. Coal is purchased from abroad and electricity is generated with that coal. However, coal is very expensive and has to be purchased on credit.

However, the previous government has not yet repaid that electricity loan. Moreover, the most important thing is that the previous government had made a law that said ""no one can make any noise about the electricity problem"". So, despite the load shedding coming to the attention of people due to the fear of that law, no person in Bangladesh has had the courage to solve this problem so far.

In your opinion, what is the most misunderstood part of this problem?

1000057941.jpgSource

In my opinion, the most misunderstood means of this problem is the weak legal system. The Bangladesh government accepts corruption in every field. Due to corruption, no project is completed properly. There is corruption in every field in Bangladesh. One of these is load shedding. When a sector needs to supply sufficient electricity, sufficient electricity is not supplied to that place. That is why there is a shortage of electricity in every place in Bangladesh. Due to the shortage of electricity, load shedding occurs in every region of Bangladesh, due to which the general public faces many problems.

The biggest problem is faced by us who live in villages. Because more electricity is supplied to urban areas where there are companies and factories. However, our villages are neglected. That is why electricity supply is less in villages, as a result of which load shedding affects us. So I think the Bangladesh government should take the right steps and supply electricity properly.

If you could change one mindset related to this issue, what would it be?

I would like to bring to your attention one more thing, that is, most of the people in Bangladesh steal electricity. There are many unscrupulous people who steal electricity from the main electricity line in the dark of night and use it for their homes, factories or commercial purposes. Sometimes there are many people in Bangladesh who steal electricity and charge their vehicles. The general public also indulges in this criminal act even though they know that stealing electricity is a punishable crime.

For this, first of all, we have to fix our own mindset. It is not enough to blame the government alone, we also have to be right with ourselves. If we destroy the resources of our country, then it will harm us. It is our responsibility to protect the resources of our country, and we have to refrain from stealing electricity. If someone steals electricity illegally, they should be handed over to the police. If someone steals electricity from the main line and supplies it to their homes, then they should be brought under the law. I think our own mindset should be honest, then the country can be reformed and load shedding can be eliminated.

So I am Inviting my lovely Steemian friends @suboohi, @heriadi,@wilmer1988, @selina1, @memamun, @sushanta83, @jimiaera02, @sadaf02, @solaymann to Participate in this Competition.

This article really highlights a serious and sensitive issue with great clarity. Load shedding is not just an electricity problem but it directly affects education, economy and daily life, and you have linked it with real ground realities. I think the most important thing that comes across in your writing is that the root of the problem is not just the government or the system but also the attitude of the people. No policy can be fully successful unless we become honest with ourselves, refrain from wrongdoings like power theft. Mention of rural deprivation is also very important as often the benefit of development is confined to the cities. If the government focuses on transparency, better planning and equitable distribution and the people abide by the law. Then surely problems like load shedding can be controlled. Overall it is a purposeful and thought provoking piece that will make the reader think.
