“Praise this” is a musical drama-comedy that shows a young lady, Sam. She is a talented but rebellious singer who gets into trouble at LA and is sent by her father to live with her aunt. At first, she wanted to boost her musical career by lying about joining the praise team for a practice. Her quest for more landed her into another trouble, but then, she was forced to join a struggling church choir (oil factory).

Well Sam's desire for fame never died, she wanted to outshine everyone than working with the team. However, as the story begins to unfold, she begins to learn about humility, purpose, teamwork and the true meaning of praise beyond just performance.

What single decision in the movie changed everything?

The main turning point in the movie is when Sam decides to stop focusing on herself and truly commit in the choir and the power of team work. She had engaged in a heart to heart talk with the PJ's wife and that opened her heart and self to humility and the understanding of helping others first.

Now, instead of trying to outshine others, she begins to support others and respect the purpose of the group. That single decision not only helped the choir's performance but also her personal growth and relationship.

What would you have done differently?

I think I would have accepted the choir wholeheartedly if I were in Sam's position. Instead of resisting and acting all selfish at first, I would seize the opportunity to sing so executives could hear me.

I could have built stronger relationships and avoid unnecessary conflits or trouble. From Sam's wings, it is obvious that pride delays growth. So I wouldn't have delayed my growth.

Did the character’s choice feel right or wrong to you? And why?

At first, Sam's choice felt wrong because she was driven by ego, fame, and competition instead of applying all sincerity. She treated the choir like a stepping stone for her fame with the note that she was helping them win instead of treating the choir as a community.

Well, her later decision to change and join teamwork was right and meaningful. At that point, it showed maturity, growth and understanding of what success truly means. It wasn't just about talent or the wins but also about building character, achieving purpose and letting humility lead.

Lastly, Praise This teaches the need for teamwork, unity, growth and staying true to your values not just chasing shadows in the name of fame.
