The Diary Game: Staff Get-together in My School (3/3/2026)

Tuesday, was designed for staff of my school to celebrate together. It wasn't for anything but achievement. After a student in our school won the first position in inter-school competition in Mathematics, the proprietor celebrated the staff. Do you want to hear details, then stay tuned and read to the end. I woke up yesterday with excitement. When I reached the school, announcement was made. We took first position. Wow! I was too-thrilled-for-word. Though I am not the teacher of mathematics, the euphoria that greeted the atmosphere was awesome. The joy, the happiness and the sounds of excitement by the students made the day stood still.

Glory Joseph represented the school. She is a very good mathematics student. She wants to read Engineering next year when she gets admission to the university. She made us proud. Even me, I owe her an award because she is also good in English Language.

I was in the class with the SS1 students when my attention was drawn by the principal. All the teachers assembled at the principal's office to celebrate and get-together. He disclosed that the proprietor has promised to give all the teachers N10000 each for a work well-done. We have made him proud. This competition was organized by the state government to hunt talent. First position went home with N1,000,000 . Second position went home with N600,000, while the third position went home with N500,000. I couldn't hide my feelings.

The celebration came to an end by 2pm. I only had just one class before the school was over. I browsed a video version of a drama text we have been reading for my literary students to watch. That was all.

I came back from work by 4pm. When I reached home, I had to relax with a short sleep for an hour. When I woke up I got refreshed and then ate lunch.

By 9pm, I went to watch mid-week premier league match. It was between Liverpool and Wolves.The match which started by 9pm ended by almost 11pm. It was unbelievable that Wolves thrashed Liverpool 1:0. I came back home and slept..
