There are many problems in our society today but I have decided to choose..Drug Abuse

Drug abuse is both a local problem and a global problem.

What is Drug Abuse??

It is important to know that Drug in its self is not bad or wrong. The use of drugs has helped us deal with issues such as sickness and diseases.

When we get sick and we visit the hospital, doctors or nurses prescribes drugs for us so that we can be fine. While other times because of the experience we have had, we now have experience with drugs and sickness so that when we have symptoms, we already know the drugs to take without doctors prescription.

Now Drug Abuse from my opinion is the wrong use of drug in a exaggerated potion without the prescription of a doctor.

Drug Abuse is also defined as the use of drugs in such a way that is not pleasing. Most of the time it has negative impart to the body or to the health, this is why it is called drug abuse.

In my country drug abuse has destroyed the lives of many young people and some it has rendered them useless. It is that serious.

Some time in 2024 I was opportunity to meet up with young people who has abused the use of drugs and are now addicted to several kinds of drug including hard drugs. The scene wasn't a good one at all. I saw how these drugs made able bodied men useless and helpless.

Simple Realistic Solution to Drug Abuse

I hear people say Charity begins at home and I totally agree to this. This is why my first solution is family Reorientations.

Family Reorientation simply means we can start talking about drug abuse from our homes. Parents teaching their children on the use of certain drugs, and the consequences of the misuse of certain drugs. This will make children, teens and Adults get aware of this practice and avoid it even when there is pressure from outside to do it.

Growing up as a child my parents made sure to teach us that there are certain practices we should not get involved in and we grew up with these awareness preventing us from going into some aspects of life.

The Expression of love

Love is a strong force, love is a powerful tool that can win anyone!. It has been discovered from research that most people who get involved with drug abuse lack love in their lives.

An adequate presence of love in the lives of people especially as they grow up can prevent drug abuse. One of the reasons why people get in to drug abuse is because they lack love which progresses to depression or low self esteem. When love is present, depression gives way, when love is present, low self esteem will not be an issue.

Openness to talk

Openness to talk is another strategy I prescribe as solution to drug abuse. Most people who are involved in drug abuse are usually condemned, insulted rather than allowed to speak up. When I say speak up I mean given an opportunity to talk to them.

When these people involved in drug abuse are constantly talked to either by able hands or capable families members, maybe to find out what went wrong, why they are into it, and with readiness to be keen to listen to them without condemnation. This can go a long way in getting them back to sanity.

Prayers

Prayers is a spiritual warfare. It is a means of communication to God who lives in the spirit. Prayers is another means we can solve the problem of drug abuse. From my experience it has been discovered that there are demonic spirits responsible for this effect.

You will find out that some of these people involved in drug Abuse really want to stop it but they can't not just because are addicted but because there is a spirit behind it. So prayers deal with these spirits that gets them addicted to these drugs.

Who would benefit most from this solution?

Those who will benefits from this solution I have given are Children, teens and adults.

Have you heard of the word "Catch them young"? Oh yes! My first solution implies to children. When a child's upbringing is right in the family by the parents, as the child grows into a teenage he is already aware of what drug abuse is all about and knows better not to get into it.

Teens and adults too benefits from this solution through the expression of love, openness to talk and prayers. Love can win in the most terrible of them all and prayers can do great wonders.

What possible challenges or limitations do you think your idea might face?

I think one of the challenges or limitations my idea may face is Acceptance

There are many who abuse drugs that are not willing to talk about it therefore may not not be willing to accept the solution of openness to talk.

They already have a misconception in their minds that the society hates them, that they are not loved, they feel criticized so when you come up to want to speak with them, they feel like you want to attack them so they go into their shell or try to attack or resist.

It is one thing to give love and it another thing to be willing to accept it. There are people who interpret love as a trap or as something with an agenda. There are people you express love to and they just want to run away because they are not used to such things.

Therefore the major limitation I see from the solution prescribed by me is strictly acceptance.
