Hello dear friends,

Today, I have come to participate in the first week of the Steemit Challenge SLC-S29/W5, organized by the Honorable teacher @ninapenda ma'am. She has brought us a thoughtful topic, whose name is Thinking and Ideas!| Ideas That Failed (and Why)!”I feel proud to participate the beautiful challenge."

Describe an idea, plan, or decision (yours or someone else’s) that failed. |

The current challenge is presented with new ideas every day. Today, I will discuss a failed plan of mine. In youth, there are various plans for the future. Some plan to start a business; some plan to get a good job, but I plan to start a multipurpose cooperative society. To implement the plan, I found two more partners to join me; they also agreed to my proposal.
A significant amount of money is required to establish a multipurpose cooperative society. None of us had that much money, but we were confident that we could manage this money. The three of us raised the initial capital and registered the society, completed all the formalities by following the government rules and regulations.
In the meantime, we rented an office, the cooperative authorities visited our office, expressed their satisfaction, and allowed us to start our activities. We were quite happy.
The problem arose from there; I myself was financially weak, and I proposed to invest my share of money later, and we would start the investment. When the investment of both of them was very necessary, both of them kept delaying in investing. They kept wasting time by saying, "I will give today, I will give tomorrow."
Meanwhile, the responsibility of managing the office was on me. I went around the customers who came to take loans with a smile for a few days. I assured them that their money would be given as a loan very soon. But for some unknown reason, they were not investing.
I became depressed day by day. I was financially weak, all my money was gone while making initial investments, and now I was struggling to meet office rent and office expenses. People also started getting annoyed with me. Finally, we closed the association, and I faced a loss of some money.
What was the original intention behind it?Why do you think it failed? |
|---|
The intention of starting a Multipurpose Cooperative Society was very good. Because this type of cooperative provides money to financially insolvent people at low profit and helps them to survive. But there was a mistake in our project; for that mistake, we had to pay the price by closing the Multipurpose Cooperative Society. I think the main reason for the closure was that our plan was unplanned.; There was a trace of inexperience in the project. I needed to collect all the money from my partners and start the project. And we needed a firm agreement between us, but we did not sign any agreement between ourselves, so even if they betrayed me, I had nothing to do, rather I became a laughing stock in the area.
The project of starting a Multipurpose Cooperative Society was a wasteful project. To start the project, we had to go to various government offices and pay government fees. A lot of effort was spent doing all this. As well as valuable time was wasted. But I could not start the association in any way. I was broken mentally. When I turned away the customers who came to the association without paying, they used to laugh at me. They used to tell me that I am the owner of Berth Multipurpose. As a result, I felt helpless. So, this was a failed plan of mine.
As for the reasons for failure, I will say-
- Unplanned thinking,
- Lack of proper knowledge about the activities of the Multipurpose Cooperative Samabaya Samity,
- Lack of capital,
- Lack of a practical idea of running the institution, etc.
Due to these reasons, my plan has completely failed.
What would you do differently if given another chance? |
|---|
The plan to start a Multipurpose Cooperative Society was my first plan to do something, which I failed at. But if I get the opportunity again, then I want to start such a Multipurpose Cooperative Society again. But this time, I want to start the society not by planning some issues, but by analyzing everything, under the supervision of one and a half skilled shareholders.
While starting the project for the first time, I was able to understand where my weaknesses are, I will find out those weaknesses, and I will not make the same mistake a second time. Before starting the project, I will work in another Cooperative Society, gain practical experience from there, and take plans from them. I will try to know what problems may arise, then, with an experienced attitude and strong confidence, I will start the Cooperative Society.
I invite three of my friends to join the challenge*

Hi @shahid76, welcome to thinking and ideas week 5
It was obviously an honest mistake from your end. I think if you had enough capital, and had the right informations, you wouldn't have depended on those friends and their delay.
But mistakes are opportunity to learn success. You next move would be absoluetly great!
It seems I have no room to correct or blame the cause of your business failure other than to validate your honesty regarding the mistakes you mentioned. In my opinion, the failure of a business group is a collective failure, not an individual one, because the team morally plays a role in the failure of a business built together.
Failure is the law of cause and effect because the perpetrators don't truly know what's "right." This is also where the proverb comes from: failure is the most expensive lesson, because people don't want to do it a second time. And, from that, we learn a second time, even several times, to achieve success.
By reading your business experience, we are also educated to better understand the concepts and risks of business. Good luck, my brother @shahid76 🙏
Congratulations, your comment has been upvoted by the Steemcurator06 team. Keep up the valuable comments.
