Hello my dear Steemians,

 

I saw this new challenge by @ruthjoe about the movies and especially the topic of the challenge made me to write for my post. Here is the contest link:

Genre Flip: "Titanic"

 

There are indeed some movie genre that we love and usually watch with pleasure and others that we do not like. I remember that since I was teenager I always loved watching adventure, crime movies with mystery and completely complicated scenario where you could not even suspect who is a bad guy and who is a good guy. Maybe because of that I was intrigued and watched such movies till the end or when it was like multiple series then I was waiting week for week for continuation.

I remember that my other sister loved romantic movies and I also remember how she was telling me about “Jane Eyre” written by Charlotte Brontë and I always asked how you can watch such drama?

While for this challenge I thought to watch “Titanic” another blockbuster movie that was favourite of my sister, I remember she was talking to me all the time and telling what was great in the movie. I think even though I heard I still did not listen much maybe because it was not of my interest.

This time I decided to give a chance for such movie and made my movie evening.

 

Why don’t you usually watch this genre?

I do not like romantic, love drama, because of the love scenes, it is important to make such scenes natural because often it is easy to recognise that they are just played off and they are not real. I believe as artists it is one of the emotions that is difficult to represent in television, especially if the two people who have to play romance so not have any romantic feeling. So if such scene look unnatural then I usually do not watch further.

 

Did this movie change your mind or confirm your feelings?

 

When I started watching and I saw first the main character Rose, young women who fell in love with young Jack, both of these characters were played by popular actors Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio I just felt “Okay…” let us see how it will develop itself. Both of characters were young there and beautiful and it was obvious that they have to meet and have to fall in love. Actually, I did not expect that they will be able to show that chemistry on scene because while watching I even had goosebumps on skin that was weird!!! Nevertheless I really enjoyed it and was positively surprised.

 

What surprised you most about the film?

 

 

The first part of the movie was more happy moments, people are excited to be on board and travelling, they have nice music, dancing and of course some love affairs.

The moment when they Rose and Jack were on ship’s bow when Jack was holding Rose and she was spreading her arms like a bird flying toward wind. The scene absolutely Legendary.

The second part of the movie is drama. What made me surprised? This is how the author of movie managed to transmit the emotions of people who knew that they are dying, the moments when everyone’s survival instinct switched on and people do not care about anything just to survive themselves.

Despite of that, this young man Jack was thinking about his new girlfriend Rose, he was ready to scarify his own life but to rescue his love. The water in ocean was ice cold and it was even possible to feel. The moment when Rose is on the wooden door and for Jack there is no space and he was just floating next to Rose, but soon he was frozen from cold water and let it go and disappearing in the depth of dark water. That is the most dramatic moment and of course, made me cry.

 

Would you try more movies from this genre in the future and why?

 

Yes, I think I will watch some of those movies in genre of romance and drama, but there should be action, adventure and of course, it should be well produced with good story and beautiful scenes, costumes, actors. I know I am very demanding but only then we can enjoy great movies.
