SLC-S29/W3-“Thinking and Ideas!| Seeing Problems Differently!””
Hello my friends,
Seeing Problems Differently!””
Identify an everyday problem in your community or country and suggest some steps to solve it.
My country is a country with a huge population; according to the 2026 estimates, the population has reached 1.45 billion. Therefore, this increasing population growth and the resulting increase in poverty and unemployment have become everyday problems in my country.
There are many ways to prevent this, but until the public itself becomes aware, there will be no solution. In my opinion, for the bright future of our country and for the well-being of our families, we ourselves must cooperate in controlling the population.
One of the many ways to do this is to create government regulations to increase the age of marriage in society and to strictly enforce them. Family planning methods such as condoms, female contraceptives, and male/female sterilization should be promoted to control family size, or strict laws should be enacted for this purpose.
Some religious and social groups in our society do not want to follow any rules or regulations, and they continue to increase the number of children in their families. In my opinion, the government should enact a two-child policy to control the growing population and should impose financial penalties or curtail the rights of families who have more than two children.
Why do you think this problem still exists despite so many people noticing it?
As I mentioned above, some ignorant and stubborn people in our country, or rather in all countries, are responsible for exacerbating the problems of their own country instead of paying attention to them. Similarly, a large section of society in my country does not want to follow any rules or regulations of the country.
They believe that if they continue to increase the population in this way, they will rule or dominate the world. However, on the contrary, by increasing the population in this way, their own families are struggling with poverty, unemployment, and problems related to housing, food, and education.
But due to ignorance, stubbornness, and illiteracy, they are slowly making their lives miserable. In your opinion,
what is the most misunderstood aspect of this problem?
In my opinion, this problem is the root cause of economic inequality, poverty, unemployment, and rising crime rates across the country, including an increase in crimes against women, growing inequality, and an increase in violent tendencies and intolerance in society.
This problem will continue to worsen until the government enacts strict laws to address it. However, I also believe that if some large social service organizations step forward and educate people with such tendencies, we might see some positive change.
If you could change one mindset related to this issue, what would it be?
I don't have any authority, but if people would listen to me, I would explain to them that a small family is always happier and more prosperous because there is no shortage of resources.
In large families, children often lack basic necessities like adequate living space, education, and food. Therefore, I would simply advise them to focus on improving their present circumstances and not fantasize about a distant future. If they change this mindset, it will benefit them personally, as well as society and the country as a whole.
I myself kept my family small and had only one son. My home has all the necessary comforts and amenities.

Your article is very interesting, sir, because this is an internal problem for all countries. It's most likely not due to a high population, but rather to "poverty and unemployment," the consequences of every wrong policy and decision. Population growth cannot be denied or limited without awareness and firm regulations. But what is the right solution to transform a population into an intelligent and qualified asset, freeing it from dependence or, "sorry," being considered a burden on the state?
The small family program and the increased age of marriage are two interesting policies, although the government will likely have difficulty implementing the decision to "limit the rights and desires" of each individual. In this case, the government's role is not merely as a bureaucratic concept-creator but as a facilitator and implementer of problem-solving through firm regulations, or...
If that doesn't work, then another solution is for the government to focus and seriously focus on improving the quality of education and job creation. Reducing or eliminating tax burdens and implementing sustainable subsidy programs for the community's economic growth.
Good luck with your contest, my brother. 🙏

Thank you @ruthjoe 🙏
Dear friend,
You have very clearly and fearlessly attempted to find a solution to this problem, but as I said, in our vast and populous country, until the people themselves become more responsible and let go of their stubbornness, they will continue to face poverty, unemployment, and discrimination. We cannot blame the government for this. Our current government has been committed to eradicating unemployment and poverty for the past two decades, but some sections of society take advantage of government schemes without adhering to the rules.
Thank you very much, and best wishes.
¡Holaaa amigo!🤗

Thank you, friend, for reading my post and sharing your insightful thoughts. Our country has followers of five religions, a vast landmass, and a huge population of 1.45 billion. The language changes every 30-40 kilometers. Many different languages are written, read, and spoken in our country, including Hindi, Haryanvi, Bhojpuri, Bengali, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, Urdu, Sanskrit, English, and many more. Therefore, there are many inequalities in our country. Politicians exploit the poor and uneducated in the name of religion, caste, language, and regionalism.
Thanks a lot.

Hi @sur-riti, welcome to thinking and ideas week 3
This population density should start from the families. Every member of a family should be educated on the importance and danger of having so many children. They should be able to have just the numbers they can take care of and not depending on the government for help at the end.
Thank you very much, Madam. You have given a very good suggestion, and also provided an excellent evaluation of my post.
