Kamiya and Nakamura join in a video to announce the development of the sequel
I did not expect what just happened, but silently, without previous rumors and without an official location by the editor, an sequel to Okami by Platinum Games and Capcom itself has just been announced. The people in charge of communicating the news have been none other than Ikumi Nakamura and Hideki Kamiya, with a video that the first one shared on his Twitter account and that has left me shocked.
"Okami is coming back," said Kamiya, one of the main founders of Platinum Games, while Nakamura, incredulous, asked: "Really?" We are still surprised, as we have explained, the little media noise that Capcom itself has generated around this mysterious announcement that, even so, still leaves us with doubts: all Okami players will know that Kamiya was one of its designers, and that Since then, he has tried to work unsuccessfully in a sequel that has never come. Are they already working on the sequel or is it just an intention?

Nakamura, on the other hand, has accompanied the video with a message: "Okami is back! We want to make the sequel to Okami and the fans are waiting for him too. They want to see Kamiya's Okami again, right? I want to work on that!". The ownership of the brand lies with Capcom, hence the tweet has also mentioned the American subsidiary of the Japanese developer, but if it became a reality, Platinum Games, with Kamiya at the head and Nakamura at his side, would be responsible for making the desired Okami 2.
