SLC-S31/W5-“Creative Interpretation| The Emotion -“Jealousy”
Create a painting inspired by the emotion “Jealousy”. Make sure your piece is 200 words
He is a normal guy but today his eyes narrowed and burning, his brows lifted right on his forehead, shaping lines on his forehead despite having the auspicious tika which showed as if clouds of storm gathering during a summer desert or indicating coming tsunami.
His lips pressed twitching at corners as if fighting the urge to burst full on. His cheeks normally smooth now turned crimson, with heat of possessive rage because he saw his wife talking to an inmate of the monastery.
His Jaw line clenched tight as if the muscles of his mouth grinding teeth in anger. His nostrils were fuming red hot air with each breath as if inhaling that imagined sense of betrayal.
His gaze fixed on his wife, his eyes focused menacingly missing nothing, the person generally known for his peace now flaring with rage.
His fingers curled into fists, knuckles tightened, his veins throbbing like about to burst on the seems. His eyes saying it all within him, oh yes, that's what insecurity can do to a jealous person.
He was fuming with tension, his jealousy showed raw, and he couldn't hide his feeling. Every feature on his face screamed ownership, saying, "Mine!"

Present jealousy from an unusual or unexpected angle
My description presents jealousy from a different angle because it's an unexpected angle. It transforms a normal jealousy case into a dramatic, mythical way rather than what we imagine an internal emotion.
You will agree that jealousy is always a result of suspicion or you can say brooding resentment hidden glances or doubts inside a person.
Here, in my piece it's coming through physical contortions, or what you say bodily like in the man's face to clouds of storm gathering during a summer desert.
I have shown this person as a saint which is an unusual twist and a contrast with his auspicious character a symbol of calm spirituality in a monastery setting, overshadowed by rage.
You see I have tried to make him a villain by painting him with his body becomes a battlefield. His twitched lips fighting eruption, crimson cheeks, clenched jaw grinding teeth, fuming nostrils, throbbing veins everything says about his jealousy. His body posture screaming "Mine!" in the end is the height of possessively with a raw, and uncontrollable display of jealousy.
What triggers this emotion in your piece?
Obviously the jealousy in my piece is triggered by a single, when this man's wife was talking to another man who was not an an stranger but inmate of the monastery.
This very fact ignited the sparks of possessive rage because he never believed that a man of his own monastery would betray his trust or rob him of exclusive ownership. This physical reactions enraged him to the limit which showed clearly on his face.
I have tried to center on his burning eyes, clenched jaw, nostrils, and of course the throbbing veins, these all cause when someone feels deep betrayal and insecurity.
I thought deeply before bringing the monastery setting to heighten the irony: of a spiritual person where the general atmosphere is beyond such feelings.
I tried to trigger jealousy as irrational by actual infidelity, even if the woman in this case was innocent but the man got incurious by mere sight of his wife engaging with another man.
Does your interpretation show jealousy as destructive, protective, or transformative?
I have tried to show this interpretation portrays jealousy as destructive, although I have added undertones of the transformative.
You will agree with me, jealousy as part of human beings, so "Green with envy" the idiom describes his extreme jealousy, therefore I painted him in green turning his skin a pale green, how a normal person gets into an angry state.
In my story this saint has become angry with his eyes burning, jaw grinding teeth, veins about to burst showing his internal feeling.
I have filled this guy with clouds of storm, brought a tsunami angle as his jealousy took his senses away. He jumped to the conclusion of betrayal just because she was talking to someone else.
