SC-S29|Geo-Quest Mystery – Week 2: The Sound Map
Hello Steemians, today I am here to participate in the second week of SC-S29|Geo-Quest Mystery – Week 2: The Sound Map competition organized by @kouba01. Today I will share some activities at Mirzapur Bypass Bus Stand in my city.
SteemAtlas Pin and Sound Description
Mirzapur Bypass Bus Station is a busy station where all Dhaka-Tangail bound vehicles stop. It is the bypass station of Mirzapur city, Tangail. Mirzapur Bus Station is located on the south side of the bypass. However, this bypass bus station mainly handles long-distance vehicles. Thousands of vehicles pass over this bypass every day.
There are many vehicles for long-distance and shortcut travel here every day, one of which is the bus. Buses are used to go from one station to another. The buses are very VIP and high quality so that all passengers can visit here easily. There is a huge flyover in front of Mirzapur Bypass Bus Station. Mainly express buses travel through the flyover because they do not stop at any station. However, here the bus called Express stops at the regular bypass bus station.
In the past few years, our Bangladeshi, Mirzapur Bypass Bus Station has been digitally created. Earlier, buses used to stop here for only a few minutes, but now, due to Mirzapur Bypass being the center of the route, many long-distance vehicles stop here. Hundreds of passengers wait here just to go to distant stations from this station.
From this bus station, you can go directly to Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, and to North Bengal. However, compared to other bus stations, this bus station is quiet and peaceful. There is a passenger shelter for the convenience of additional passengers and for them to sit and rest. There are also small auto-rickshaws next to it. It is nice to hear the sound of braking and honking at this station.
Short Narrative – The Story Behind the Sounds
Basically, when we travel from our city to another city, we first have to go to this Mirzapur Bypass bus station. Mirzapur Bypass is located in a central place of our city, so many people travel here. I often go to this bus stand, mainly to go from Mirzapur to Tangail. I also sometimes go here to go to Dhaka. The last time I went here was yesterday.
There was a program next to the bus stand, so I spent some time there. When several buses were passing in front of me, the bus was honking its horn to signal another bus to move forward. I captured the feeling of two buses honking their horns together. However, as a surprising sound, I heard the horn of a CNG there because it was a thin horn. Truck horns are loud, but CNG horns are a little thin. That's why the echo of the two sounds was heard a little differently.
If someone is standing here as a wife and listens to the sounds of these vehicles, then he can hear some wonderful moments here for a while. Especially when I was standing still here, I heard some remarkable sounds.
In the meantime, when the bus supervisor was calling the passengers and saying, "Where are you going, brother? Are you going to Tangail or not? Pay 10 taka less and still go." Sometimes the bus helper would say, "Listen, brother, our bus seat is empty, you can go." But sometimes, many people were surprised by the sudden sound of the bus horn.
Two to Four Personal Photos
Since I was there myself, I captured several moments of it on my phone. I visited both the passes from the bus stand and captured some scenes from both sides. Since it is located in Mirzapur town of Tangail district, there are some buses going to Tangail city here. The buses going to Tangail come and stop directly on the south side of the bypass. There was a bus here, its name is Faruk.
The last stop is written Tangail on the front of this bus and the design of the bus was very beautiful to see. As more details, Dhaka-Tangail is written on the front of the bus. I captured the scene of the crowd of people boarding the vehicles and some small vehicles passing each other in pictures and videos.
Speem.watch Proof Video (20–60 seconds) – Focus on Sound
I have recorded two videos from both sides of the station where I have highlighted several sound images. I have highlighted various activities that take place at this bus stand through Speem.watch videos. Now listen to my sound map spot while watching the video. I tried to avoid the faces of strangers and focused on the audio sounds. I tried to keep my camera as still as possible but since the vehicles were moving from one side to the other, I needed to move the camera a little.
However, my camera microphone was able to capture some of the sounds accurately. However, there are some common sounds that are used several times in the video. Basically, that sound is the main attraction of the bus station. It takes every passenger inside the bus. Especially when the bus driver was giving power to the accelerator of the bus, the sounds were popping out.
Hidden Sound Challenge – Guess the Sounds
I captured several scenes while going to Mirzapur bus stand and shared some scenes from there. Now after observing all the posts, I will check the video recording in some hidden word quiz there. Here a bus was standing in front of Mirzapur bypass bus stand. The bus supervisor was standing outside and saying What was he saying to the passengers at the station. I think this word will be easy. I hope the Steemian friends can answer this quiz.
