So what is it? 🤔

SteemBiota is a life simulation game that lives entirely on the Steem blockchain. You create cute little digital creatures, take care of them, breed them, and watch their lineages evolve — all permanently recorded on-chain. No servers, no databases, no middlemen. Just you, your creatures, and the blockchain.

How does it work? 🌱

Every creature is born from a unique 10-gene genome that decides everything — its shape, colours, lifespan, and when it can breed. Once published, that genome is immutable forever. Your creature's whole life story — every feeding, every play session, every offspring — gets written to Steem as replies. The blockchain literally becomes the fossil record.

Here's the fun part: you can feed, play with, and walk your creatures to keep them healthy and extend their lifespan. And when two compatible creatures hit their fertility window, you can breed them to produce an offspring that inherits genes from both parents — with a tiny chance of mutation or even speciation into a whole new genus! 🐣⚡
