Yes, train tickets are actually very good, I have paid £12 return to get to London on a weekday! No excuses!
Also, if going by car, so many cheap carpark spaces available - it is not London, you won't get stuck in the traffic jam!
yes. London is more of a trek for some though and in my experience it's been easier to organise national stuff in the smaller cities. Car shares sharing highly encouraged!
