The day of knowing

Greetings brothers in Christ!

From the day we were born to die, we will be learning something. Be with our first image when we reach your arms (still dirty from childbirth), to specific materials in academic and / or ecclesiastical environments; for something or someone, we have the ability to adapt to environments and situations, as well as absorb some kind of knowledge (and this, good or bad). We are like sponges that keep a lot of information. Some, we need to save them and use them at an opportune moment; others can (and should) be discarded.

Some people put a lot of effort into the art of learning. They spend several hours per week in front of books or any other source of learning. This search gives them a significant advantage in a competition for some type of vacancy. Their efforts are almost always rewarded. There are those who have difficulty learning. Due to lack of time in the study (for working or lack of interest itself), they can not assimilate what is happening to them. There are also those that are already born with a high IQ. For these, intelligence is a matter of privilege.

In a dark time, where the Internet became a teacher, where the school / university / university has become one of the most nefarious places to learn, as some "professors" (if that noble profession can be given to them) of his workplace a palanque, giving up all his anger to the family, morals and good manners, we must pay close attention to where his source of learning is coming from.

Now, do not confuse "intelligence" with "wisdom". Even if they can be similar, they are not synonymous; they are different things. The dictionary reaches intelligence as the ability to know, understand and learn. While wisdom is the condition of those who have the knowledge, the erudition. Not everyone who is intelligent is wise. Assuming that both are given by God, however, in the fact that they MUST be developed. And each one, with their effort, look for them according to their respective interests.

The problem is that many strive for intelligence and very few care about wisdom. They seek the intelligence to solve an academic / professional need. The smarter the better placed in the job market will remain (and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that). Only that we know that not everything is work, not everything is study, not everything is a good chat with someone interesting and intelligent (although it is wonderful when that happens).

Tell me, if you can do it: how many intelligent people do you know who have sunk in the vice of drugs, of alcoholism, of crime? How many people, at least we did not hear, even with a higher IQ, after a disappointment did not commit suicide? How many people, who with their intelligence and the sweat of their honest work got great possessions and did not have the wisdom to maintain it? How many beautiful girls and boys, well-created, with structured families (economically, socially and morally speaking), do not throw themselves in the first "tail of the skirt" or advanced biceps that they find before and then they are disappointed? How many weddings (whatever time) do not end in the first crisis? How many of these weddings do not become hell for years?
In all these cases, at least can ONE, point out how many of them sought the wisdom of God for their many conflicts?

The Bible says (and remembering that this is always our base), "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, fools despise wisdom and teaching." (Proverbs 1: 7) Many are wise in their own eyes. Wisdom has no age; it is not "portfolio time"; You can not confuse wisdom with experience (although many wise men are experienced). If wisdom is not given by God and developed IT, it will collapse.

Whoever acquires wisdom (and continues to develop it) can perfectly well acquire intelligence; be academic, emotional, psychological, educational, professional, administrative, etc. The wise man is hungry to learn. But without wisdom intelligence, it serves absolutely nothing!

Intelligence, pure and simple, can even get you somewhere. The wisdom will make you not only arrive, but STAY fit at the right time and place.
Wisdom is a world of discoveries.

How about leaving on that day?

Although knowing and knowing are commonly used as synonyms, the truth is that there are differences. Wisdom is stronger than knowledge, implies in a certain way, a decanting of the known, a greater depth, a kind of knowledge impregnated with good things, ethics, experience, an analysis of decisions or actions based on the bad and the good, etc.
