Keep Alert
We can not see, but we are involved in a much bigger war than the history books tell us. Since Satan was defeated in heaven and thrown with his angels to the earth, he carries with him only one goal: to cause the children of God to be defeated. That is why the apostle Paul, knowing the strategies of the enemy, wrote a letter to alert the people of God, including us. - "What I fear, and want to avoid is that as the serpent deceived Eve with cunning, their minds are corrupted and deviated from sincere fidelity to Christ" (2 Corinthians 11: 3).
Once God created the world, the devil gave a way to destroy the children of God. Without many weapons to attack, he used the serpent to approach Eve and deceive her. Satan distorted the orders of God and managed to seduce that woman to betray the Creator. His pleasure in seeing the human being fall was so great that he never stopped doing that kind of thing.
If at first the devil used an animal to deceive people, today he has many more resources and uses the people themselves! And how does it do it? Simple: it is presented in the simplest forms than Jesus. Here are some traps that we put together every day: "Do what you want, it's the owner of the nose"; "What to help others Charities already do to go live their lives?!"; "If he has to be dishonest to get something, either Nobody will take anything for granted!"; "A drink will relax and it will not hurt you, trust me!"; "You do not go to church to believe in God."
The Bible says that is the long way and, for some time, it will give us some pleasure. But when someone chooses to cross that road, it is a sign that he let himself be corrupted and left the presence of God. And that was exactly what Paul feared would happen, because it shows that the enemy managed to reach his goal again.
Most of the time, this approach occurs without the white person perceiving that he is moving away from Jesus. Satan arrives in a well-disguised, attractive and so pleasant way that he does not seem to present any risk to the faith. He knows that the time when he will be eternally condemned is coming and he wants in all ways to get people out of the way of the Lord. That is why the Word of God commands us to be alert, "Be sober and watch over the devil, the enemy, round like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour" (1 Peter 5: 8).
But the Bible also tells us about the attitudes we must take to avoid falling into the traps: "Put on the whole armor of God, to be able to resist the snares of the devil, because our struggle is not against people, but against the powers and authorities, against the powers of this world of darkness, against spiritual forces of evil in the celestial regions, therefore put on the armor of God, so that they can resist in the bad day, and stand after having done everything "(Ephesians 6: 11-13).
The weapon to defeat Satan was given to us by God! Then, it is up to us to choose which path we will follow: the widest one, full of momentary pleasures, but which leads us to perdition; or the strait, which will lead us into the arms of the Father. Do not allow yourself to be deceived by the enemy; Communion with God is your powerful weapon for that war. Always stay alert!

The importance of staying alert is fundamental in every area of life, from caring for babies as well as taking care of their health and their spiritual life.
