A COMPLETELY NEW LIFE
The bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:17 that “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new”. Many Christians don't understand this verse though they confess it with their mouth. Now let's look at the term “born again”. Born again as we know is not just turning into new leaf or desisting from your old act. It is deeper than that. Many Christians think that once they have stopped doing what they used to do, they are born again. And so some will say “I'm a born again because i have changed my ways”. It's wrong to make such confessions. The new creation there means more than that.

The term born again is completely new life. When you come to understand the concept, you will understand that statement like “The old bad things I used to do, I do them no more,” does not define born again, in fact, it's wrong because the old man is no more existing. He is dead.
There is recreation of your spirit when Christ becomes your Lord and your personal saviour. You begin to live the way God lives because you have His life, His character and His nature. When you become born again, you live like God. You can make situation which seem impossible to change possible. You can cause miracles to happen. Born agains receive God-nature automatically upon themselves.

Let's look at something in Romans 6:6. The bible says “Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.” Someone will ask if we have receive new nature and we are new creature where then is the old man? It's simple. The old man is dead and no more existing. The creature you see now has never existed before. It's actually a creation with no past life. No past records. Amazing!

Some people cannot function well in the body of Christ(Church) because of a past sin. It keeps on hunting them. Till you understand the concept of Born Again will may keep on battling with your past sin. Have it at the back of your mind that, you are not a sinner. You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says “Him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; that we might become the righteousness of God in him”
