Get The Word

Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum. And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die. And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant. And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this: For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue. Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof: Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed. For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick. Luke 7:1-10

God's word is the manual for our life. The word of God has answers or solutions to all problems of humanity for all things were made through the word. By the power of His word God created the heavens and the earth, every living creature including man.

Everything that God says in his word contains guiding principles that leads man to eternal life and total freedom from the the enemy. Therefore if any man forsakes or ignores the word he ingores life and ceases to live.

The word of God is the true light which shines before any man that comes into this world. The word is indeed a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path.

There is a great power inherent in the word of God is able to make manifest miracles, signs and wonders, give life and freedom. God's word doesn't come to us in vain but to perform a particular purpose for which it was sent.

As believers of the Lord we must have faith in what God says in His word for it to perform what it says concerning our life. We need to have faith in the word to bring about the change we need concerning any situation we may go through in our life.

The Scripture above is a proof of what God's word can actually do for us if we have faith in what it says. It tells us an incidence about a Roman centurion whose servant was sick and was at a point of death. Before Jesus could reach his house and heal his servant the man went to meet him and did something unusual.

He was a man under authority and so understands the power of words. By giving out orders to soldiers under him a task is carried out or performed.

He saw Jesus to be a man of authority whose words carries power. Perhaps he had seen some of the signs and wonders done by Jesus by just the words of his mouth and had related this to what goes on in the military so had developed his faith based on that.

All he needed was just a word which he believed it to have a great power and authority over any situation. Lo and behold! his servant was made whole because of the power of God's word.

That should be our attitude and our approach to God's word. We must believe in what it says about any situation. Every situation we go through in this life has its word, that is its solution or answer.

There is no problem or issue in this world that the word has no answers or solution for. If all things were made by the word then surely whatever goes wrong with anything made has it's solutions too found in the same word.

Don't panic or be terrified by anything that goes wrong in your life and If you ever found yourself in any situation that is beyond you just look for a word for it.

Search the Scripture to find the right word for that situation and ones you get it start declaring it over the situation by faith. There in nothing that can hold you down if you can get the word for it.
