It is extremely important to have that time for ourselves and for others, a time to learn and grow.
14 so that we may no longer be fluctuating children, carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the stratagem of men who cunningly use the tricks of error to deceive, 15 but that following the truth in love, we may grow in everything into him who is the head, that is, Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, well coordinated and united to each other by all the joints that mutually help each other, according to the proper activity of each member, receives its growth to build itself up in love.
Ephesians 4:14-16
Surely like me, at one point in your life in the middle of the highway you chose the left lane to go faster, but after a few minutes you were going much slower than usual, this is frustrating and causes discomfort.
There are times when we think that our spiritual growth is similar to simply taking the left lane, we believe that we are just getting ahead of the rest and that's it, we arrive at our destination. We even have books or texts that claim to lead us or that we believe will lead us to much faster growth. This means that when we are presented with the tests of life, if our foundations are not firm enough, we simply become discouraged and disillusioned.
The world is accelerated but our growth takes a process in which we cannot skip the steps, let us remember in those moments that Paul writes to the Ephesians the way to grow putting Christ as head and desiring the unadulterated milk that is the word of God continuously.
It is impossible for children to do everything the way adults do, for everything we need to develop, children need the strength and knowledge of an adult and for this time is crucial, only when they grow up can it take carry out these tasks.
As children of God, growth is similar, we need to carry out a growth process, no one becomes a mature son in one day and much less does God expect this from us, that is why we must have much more patience with ourselves, we must take the time to grow and we will see the progress.
