It is convenient to follow God.

It's simple: when we strive to live a life according to God's word, He takes care of meeting our needs and always works our favor according to His word.
3 Then I turned my face to the Lord God and sought Him in prayer and supplication, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes. 4 Then I prayed to the Lord my God and made confession, saying, "O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps covenant and lovingkindness with those who love Him and keep His commandments, 5 we have sinned, we have committed iniquity, we have acted wickedly, and we have rebelled, even departing from Your commandments and Your ordinances."
Daniel 9:3-5
On this occasion, both Daniel and his friends were living in a foreign land; it was not their home; they were captives of a king who wanted to take advantage of their impressive abilities, especially their intellectual faculties. Little by little, as Daniel grew and reached maturity, he was able to separate himself from the land system where he remained. He did so in a way that did not compromise his faith in God.
How could he not do this? First, the Word shows us that he rejected those foods that were forbidden and continued to maintain his times of prayer, even though doing so would have led him to face punishment from the king. God simply prayed on his behalf, thus honoring his faithfulness. We remember that God intervened, saving him from the lions' den and granting him supernatural grace in every difficult situation. Daniel always chose to follow God in obedience. Even in the midst of the most complex adversities, Daniel endured the worst situations, but God's faithfulness was always on his side. God protected him at all times, giving him the provision he needed.
The biblical principles didn't end with Daniel or the disciples. They are still valid today, just as they were during the Babylonian captivity. God promises to give security to those who make the decision to follow God and walk according to His word. At no point does God promise that we won't have difficulties or difficult times, but He does assure us that He will be with us every step of the way, regardless of the situation in our lives, good or bad.
