My God DOES forgive!

LINK
Every day we seek God's forgiveness; this keeps the path to communion open for us.
9 Thus therefore shall you pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. 10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil; for yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
Matthew 6:9-13
Jesus Christ has left us a model for prayer, and it consists, among other things, of asking for forgiveness every day. Repenting daily does not mean renewing our salvation or anything similar; it is simply acknowledging our dependence on God and maintaining our communion with Him.
When we trust in Jesus and give Him our hearts, we are not only forgiven but justified, and this is forever. This means that the marks of the past, present, and future are simply erased, not even hidden. Yet, our tendency to continue sinning does not disappear; its influence diminishes, and as we grow in Christ, our human tendency submits to the life of Christ in us, becoming more and more like Him here on earth.
No one is perfect except Jesus. That is why, even while we are still alive in this world, we will continue to deal with sin and its consequences. Jesus' reminder to repent daily and confess our sins helps us be aware of them and intentionally keep our distance.
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
