Praying with the authority of God.

He is our ultimate Hearer; He is always attentive to what we say, to the prayers we bring before Him. God always acts in response to our prayers.
When the time came for the burnt offering, Elijah the prophet approached and said, “Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant, and that I have done all these things at your command. 37 Answer me, Lord, answer me, so that this people may know that you, Lord, are God, and that you are turning their hearts back to you.” 38 Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt offering, the wood, the stones, and the dust, and even licked up the water that was in the trench. 39 When all the people saw it, they fell prostrate and cried, “The Lord—he is God! The Lord—he is God!” (WE CAN READ IT IN ITS ENTIRETY)
1 Kings 18:36-39
God has given us a great privilege: He allows us to access Him directly in the name of Jesus through prayer. God waits for us to cry out to Him, and He provides everything we need. God has prepared great plans for us, and we must cry out to Him for what He has promised. Through this privilege of prayer, we can also intercede for others, for the saints, for those who also need God.
16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
James 5:16
God desires that we be the first to recognize the work He has done in our lives on our behalf. Let us remember the salvation offered to us by grace through the death of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. This reminds us that we are simply instruments in God's hands, and through faith we have been justified and made a new creation, made holy before God.
Let's look at the story of Elijah (it would be interesting to read the entire chapter). The Lord sent him to defeat and, in a sense, humiliate King Ahab and his prophets of Baal, who numbered around 450. This was a visible but profoundly spiritual conflict. Elijah would demonstrate who the true God was through a supernatural act before the very retinue of the god Baal.
He did not have worldly weapons; his most powerful weapon was his knowledge of God's plan and his faith that God would act on his behalf. Elijah had authority because he knew he was a prophet of God. His desire and his request to God was that He would reveal Himself publicly to those who were His adversaries; this perfectly aligns with God's will.
37 Answer me, O Lord, answer me, so that this people may know that you, O Lord, are God, and that you are turning their hearts back to you.
1 Kings 18:37
Immediately after God answered Elijah's request, the people acknowledged and declared, “The Lord is God! The Lord is God!”
39 When all the people saw this, they fell prostrate and said, “The Lord is God! The Lord is God!”
