The rewards promised for service.

God considers every action we perform as an act of service and love toward others, and God promises rewards.
But we are persuaded of better things concerning you, beloved, and things that accompany salvation, though we speak in this way. 10 For God is not unjust, so as to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward his name, in that you have ministered to the saints and do so. 11 But we desire that each one of you show the same diligence until the end, for the full assurance of hope,
Hebrews 6:9-11
Let us remember that God has given salvation "by grace" to those who believe in Christ as Savior. We do not have the ability to deserve it, much less earn it. Yet God recognizes our good works of love and service to others and therefore promises rewards. There is genuine service driven by the love of God, and all of this brings results for his glory. This allows human needs to be met through divine ministry based on love.
Behold, I am coming soon, and my reward is with me, to give to every man according to his work.
Revelation 22:12
