RE: Uplift And Encourage Others!

in #steemchurch7 years ago (edited)
I really agree with you that everybody actually needs encouragement at one point or the other, even as we move through life as humans, here on earth.

For instance, recalling the story of the man born blind at birth in John 9; if we read carefully, from verse 1 to 4, we see what Christ precisely said about the man's situation (in verse 3) ...

  1. As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth.
  2. His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”
  3. “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.
  4. As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work.

Consequently, as believers, most of the things that happen to us in form of challenges, are for a reason-- which is to work out patience and spiritual stamina in the journey of life.

It's only normal for ugly times to surface in our lives, even as believers. When this happens, it doesn't we are less a Christian or we are being punished for the atrocities our fathers committed; but because God is 'cooking' something for us, which we shall be grateful for in no distant time -- and eventually give Him all praises due to Him.

Thanks, @jedaijudith for giving me some encouragement through this great post of yours.

Kind regards.
