YOUR WILL BE DONE

John 1:18-28
18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him
19 And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?
20 And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.
21 And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.
22 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?
23 He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.
24 And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.
25 And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?
26 John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;
27 He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose.
28 These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.

Word for today: even he who comes after me, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie v. 27

As we anchor God's will and let it be done in our lives and through us to others today, let us put those worthy words together, i.e. loyalty, accord, consecration, endeavour: the first letter put together will spell LACE
The word LACE remind us of a man who was sent from God the Father, to bear witness to His son, Jesus,through the power of the Holy Spirit, being a siren and a sanctified baptizer for Jesus ( John 1:6-8) yes, this ambassador of God was anointed from birth for this special endeavour unto the Father,for the benefits of all men(lk 1:12-18). And truly he sacrificially let the will of God the Father be done. Giving in the wilderness, eating only fruit and honey, knowing no tailor, or hair salon. When an opportunity came to claim the messianic position, he said, "No, I am not but he is coming, the wonderful royal one!
When asked if they, he and Jesus, had different kingdoms, he denied, saying "we are together, but he is higher, and I can't even tie the lace of his shoes, what wonderful accord! And finally he baptized Jesus, what consecration (John 1:33-34), in accordance, he used baptism as an endeavour to point people to Jesus including his own disciples.

Are you ready to LACE the boot of the gospel, (rom 10:15) and let the almighty father's will be done,by your sacrificial stewardship?
