Pampering someone is an effective way of making someone witless. As a matter of fact, its potency in producing a foolish disposition is very high; a foolish disposition to almost everything if not every thing.

Pampering is a reliable fuel in powering the already inherent weakness of men. It makes it so obvious.

As a believer, whether you agree with me or not, the truth is, God will never, i mean never, pamper you. He doesn't want to train weak, witless, and foolish children. Chastisement comes with wisdom. Because of this, when we err, a dimension of God's love called chastisement is being demonstrated towards us by Him. God is too responsible to train irresponsible children. Chastisement is not just an act of love from God, it is a dimension of His love.

Let's look at this scripture, Hebrews 12 verse 6

" For the Lord corrects and disciplines everyone whom He loves, and He punishes, even scourges, every son whom He accepts and welcome to His heart and cherishes."

God loves you so much to leave you alone to mess around and be a disgrace. If it means Him chastening you to keep you in shape and in the path spiritually and physically, He will do it. Don't be angry with God when He chastens you. Probably He is chastening you now. He is trying to teach you something. He is trying to impart wisdom into you. Be willing and humble to learn from the chastisement; that is the essence of it. Anger is an hindrance to learning.

Humility and calmness of spirit is, permit me to use this word "Spouse" of learning. It has intercourse with learning anytime, any day, anywhere, and anyhow. Humility has an intrinsic desperate tendency for learning.

Even the bible says in Hebrews 12 verse 7,

" You must summit to and endure[correction] for discipline; God is dealing with you as with sons. For what son is there whom his father does not[thus] train and correct and discipline?."

read from 9 to 10 on your own.

yes, of course, am not too spiritual to think that it is not painful. yes it is painful but worth it. Lets look at the scripture.

Hebrews 12 verse 11,

" For the time being no discipline brings joy, but seems grevious and painful; but afterwards it yields a peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it[ a harvest of fruit which consists of righteousness-in conformity to God's will in purpose, thoughts, and action, resulting in right living and right standing with God]."

Let me round up with this and i want you to take note of it. TO THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN TRAINED BY IT. The allowance for the training by chastisement is solely dependent on you and not God. Allow God to have His full course in your life and remember that He is chastising you because He loves you.

Selah!

Thanks for sharing this. It's wrong to pamper children when you know they are doing what is right. As an understanding father, God knows how to treat his children.

i agree God will never pamper us ... you are right .. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I support you strongly on this one, I love this part so much. "God loves you so much to leave you alone to mess around and be a disgrace.
