I have heard people and I have heard sermons that suggests that God created the heavens and the earth and then created man, because He was lonely and needed companionship.
I've heard this lie too. It's only when we have low view of the attributes of God that's when we make such claims. It's time ministers started to teach on the attributes of God for we've abandoned it for long. God is self existing and needs no one to cheer Him up.
