Followed by good!

Let's note how impressive the title of this post is. It doesn't say, "Perhaps goodness will follow me" or "With luck, God will help me." God assures us when He says, "Surely," it is super certain; it is guaranteed.

Let's remember that David is writing this, and he isn't writing it from a perfect life. David writes this from his past experiences, from having gone through the valley of the shadow of death, persecution, betrayal, failure, and more. Yet, he says, "Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life."

In light of David's statement, is what you are going through relevant? Without putting aside where you are walking or what situation you are going through, remember that you are "Sheep of the Good Shepherd." He guides you at all times, cares for you, supports you, and lifts you up if you fall. When all is over, "God is still good." We always end up in His presence.

Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Psalm 23:6

God bless you today and always!!!
