Suffering and pain have their end.

Today we are faced with a verse that holds a promise full of hope. And this is what we need in a world where loss, tears, pain, and suffering are part of everyday life for many, and God reminds us that all this is not the end.
We see that there is an afterlife where all that suffering will disappear, it will be taken away. And this is not just to provide temporary comfort; this speaks of a total transformation: tears will be wiped away, not only physical tears but also the tears of the soul. Death will no longer exist because we will be enjoying eternal life. Pain and suffering will also disappear because it is God who makes all things new.
This word is for us to always keep in mind that suffering is not eternal, that God always has something much better in store for us, and that our story does not end here. Meanwhile, we continue walking in faith, knowing that this time of fullness is coming, where we will enjoy joy and total restoration. This is the hope that allows us to see another reality starting today.
God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will be no more death, nor mourning, nor crying, nor pain, for the former things have passed away.
