DO NOT SEE THE STRAW IN THE EYE'S EYE
Why do you look at the straw in your brother's eye and do not see the beam that is in yours? How can you say to your brother: Brother, let me take the straw out of your eye, You who do not see the beam you have in yours.
Hypocrite; first take the beam out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the straw from your brother's eye. Luke 6,41-42
These words of Jesus have a special resonance for us, today all of us, without exception, have much to learn from them. We all have to listen and meditate on it in our hearts, and put it into practice in our lives.
It is evident that human beings, men and women of all kinds and conditions, have an unhealthy and persistent inclination, to criticize others. We see very easily, perhaps more than we would like, the defects and bad actions that those around us have and carry out, and they lead us to criticize them in our hearts and in a loud voice, for one reason or another, most of the time with great hardness. We completely forget that we also have shortcomings, and that our failures can be even more serious than those of those we criticize. Then we become judges who judge and condemn mercilessly to everyone who stands before us, at the same time we turn a blind eye, with our own behavior.
Excellent message, simple but with great teaching, one of the things that God has been talking about is his abomination towards the lying tongue and the accusing finger (Isaiah 58), it is not about God indulging in sin, He is a God is perfect, but he detests hypocrisy, as we can judge our brother, if we do not live a full life, we do not live in holiness, continue on his way, learn to walk in righteousness and then exhort his brother not to criticize or judge him , but to build it in the love of Christ.
