The Cry for a Kingdom Man

A man of the kingdom is the kind of man that every morning, when he steps on the ground, the devil says: "Oh, no, he got up!" Every day, when a man of the kingdom leaves his house, heaven, earth and hell are taken for granted.

His children look at him with confidence. Other men see in him someone to imitate. His church turns to him for strength and leadership. He is a protector of culture and a champion of society in not letting evil go by and in welcoming good. A man of the kingdom understands that God never said that life in holiness would be easy; He only said it would be worth it.

Like a football player coming out of the tunnel into the field of play, so a man from the kingdom begins every day. Not only does he go out into the field in an explosion of fire, but he also dominates all opposition that rises up against him. A man of the kingdom aims directly at a single purpose: to promote the kingdom for the betterment of those who are in it, which glorifies the King. And it will try to fulfill this objective at any personal cost.

As Dallas Cowboys chaplain, both in recent years and in the peak of the Tom Landry years, I saw numerous games of the National Football League (NFL). I also played football every night and weekends, practically since I was crawling, until an injury to my leg that needed surgery ended my game.

However, regardless of how many games I've seen or played, I never heard a player complain that the rivals were too tough or that the goal was too hard to achieve. Anyone who has ever played or followed American football knows that victory does not come only because you want it. Victory is gained only with sweat, guts and blood.

When three quarters of the game has left the breathless lungs of the forwards without air, and damaged the bodies of those who carry or chase the ball, and tortured the minds and muscles of all involved, often the triumph comes only through a total determination. It reaches those who know that exhaustion is simply a word, and that the purpose is much greater than pain.

The clamor for a man of the kingdom

If you listen carefully, you may hear the clamor asking that the men of the kingdom also rule well. You can hear it in the cultural chaos, which provokes a plea that rises from homes, schools, neighborhoods, communities, states and from every exhausted soul affected by the absence of the men of the kingdom.

Never has our country or our world been facing the precipice of adversity with such an extreme need for men to respond to the demand to govern well. I heard.

It is everywhere. Is strong. It is in the heartbeat of every child born or growing up without a father, in the dreams of every woman who are drowned by an irresponsible or careless man, in every hope smothered by confused circumstances, in the lonely soul of every single woman who seeks someone worth marrying, and in every church and community devoid of significant male contributions.

It is the cry for a man of the kingdom. If the referee team stands at the margins and never says anything about what is happening on the field, the public will not address the players who are committing the infractions to ask them why they are disobeying the rules. The fans would look at the referees and claim them: «Where are they? Get out of there and do something. "

It is because without the third team on the field of play, all battles would be chaotic from the moment the coin is thrown, which would lead to the loss of motivation, interest and order. As a man of the kingdom, heaven has commissioned you to rule the earth wearing a different shirt.

Theirs is a shirt made with another type of cloth, because you represent a different kingdom in this battle. You represent the King. And as representative of the King, the purpose you have is much higher than just a personal one and has an impact in a much wider sphere than you can imagine. As a man of the kingdom, there is much more for you than you may have realized.

What direction will we take?

The King has given you a handbook that you should use to govern, according to which you have to dominate, lead, make decisions, direct, guide and align the choices of your life.

This manual is his Word.

When you lead according to what he says in his Word, he will back you with the authority you need to carry out the task. But if he does not, he'll have to fend for himself. Gentlemen, the future will depend on how well you rule the present.

When you lead according to the principles and plans of the kingdom of God, you give other people freedom to become what they were created for. However, when he does not, he promotes a world of chaos, disorder and destruction, not only in his own life but also in the lives of those under his influence.

As a man of the kingdom, you are part of the third team that has been sent here to bring the government of heaven to a world that needs it. However, this is not a game. It is a real battle. It is a war. A spiritual war. It is possible that he can not see his enemy directly, but his presence manifests around him everywhere.

Every morning when you put your feet on the ground, does your enemy the devil say: "Oh, no, he got up"? Every day, when you pass through the door of your house, do you realize that heaven, earth and hell? When she protects the woman under her care, can she resist? Do your children look at you with confidence? Do other men see him as someone to imitate? Does your church come to you for strength and leadership? Is he a protector of culture and a champion of society, who does not let evil go by and welcomes good? Is he a man who fulfills his destiny and is capable of satisfying the woman of his life?

But above all, when God looks for a man to promote his kingdom, do you call him by his name?
