STEEMCHURCH: "The power of love".

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
1 John 4: 7-12

According to what we read in that text of bilbia we discover that love is deeply connected with God. The bilbia tells us that "Love is from God," and that "God is love." The first thing we need to understand is that the word "love" as used in that text, is derived from the Greek word "agape."

This type of love nol has nothing to do with humans, it is a love that comes exclusively from God. It is not a romantic, passionate love, nor fraternal love. It is a very special love that comes only to one who has become a spiritual son of God, through having placed his faith and trust in Jesus Christ. 2Cor 13:11 As for the rest, brothers, rejoice. Be mature; be comforted; thirst for the same feeling. Live in peace, and the God of peace and love will be with you. 1Jn 4: 8 He who does not love has not known God, because God is love.
The Bible says that John used to lie down on Jesus' chest. How wonderful it would be for him to be able to listen to every heartbeat of that heart so full of love for men! Thus John learned about the love of God. We call him the apostle of love. We see it in his epistles, everything that speaks is love. John, understanding the immense love of God, said on one occasion:

"For God so loved us that he gave his only son so that everyone who believes in him may not be lost but may have eternal life."
John 3:16

Let's talk about two characteristics of God's love, they are many but for now we will only dedicate ourselves to two.

"God's love is great."

Source

Eph 2:4 "But God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love with which he loved us."

It was because of his great love that he gave us life together with Christ. By grace we are saved, because that is how it pleased him to save us. Not for works so that no one can boast.
The love of God does not wane and much less fades with time. The love of God in the bile is compared to the love of a woman after the birth. The word also says that when the child is born, she will not forget him, and even if the woman were to forget the child she gave birth, God will never forget her children.

Will the wife of her baby be forgotten, and will she stop feeling sorry for the child of her womb? Even if they forget, I will not forget you. Behold, I have engraved you in the palms of my hands; your walls are always before me.
Isa 49:15-16

There is a great difference between the love of God and the love of men. The love of God never withers, but that of man with any situation that occurs in the environment is extinguished. Jer 31: 3 Jehovah has appeared to me for a long time, saying, With everlasting love I have loved you; therefore, I have prolonged my mercy. Pablo says:

"Love is patient."

This tells us that it is a love that must have been tried. The word "Patience" from the Greek "jupomone" means to remain low, under proof, under suffering. An example of this word is found in medicine, the doctors call their clients "patients" because when they are under their care they are submitted to them, they are under their care, they remain under what the doctor indicates. In this sense we are talking about patient love when we say to the marriage partners that they accept themselves in health or illness, in wealth or in poverty. We can not speak of a patient love when at the time of trial one of the spouses decides the divorce because he no longer endured that test, that can not be called love because it is not. The word patient comes from peace, rest. Here the type of phrase that says: I love you even though you're loud, or messy, your bad mood, Etc.

"Love is benign."

Goodness is desire to do good, is to be good. The one who genuinely loves will always try to seek the welfare of those he loves. I will clarify something here, this does not necessarily mean saying yes to everything or accepting everything, but rather it is having a balance but always looking for the best for those we love. We love Him, because He loved us first. 1 John 4:19

In the 105 verses of 1 John, love is mentioned more than 40 times. There is no doubt that it is a very important topic in that short epistle. But the apostle John condenses his teaching in these 10 words: We love Him, because He loved us first. And we also love others because He loved us first.

But there is something else. Not only must I love God, but I must love myself: You will love your neighbor as yourself (Mark 12:31). Some believe that this reflects a haughty and selfish spirit, but the truth is that the world has corrupted the concept of self-love and made it a motto: "If I do not worry about myself, who else will?" The Bible does not teach us that, rather it teaches us a healthy and clean love because we are the masterpiece of our Creator and that is why we are worthy of being loved.

Do you know how someone can say if he truly loves as God prescribes? By the way he treats himself. If you are someone who abuses your body with alcohol, tobacco or other drugs, or eating too much, you do not love yourself enough to take care of your body. Satan tells him: "It's not worthwhile for someone to love you." But God has said: "You are my masterpiece, I have made you worthy that my only Son died for you, for you you are incredibly valuable".

The Lord not only asks us to love our neighbors, but also our enemies. This is a supernatural call, outside of human understanding and we must depend on the Holy Spirit to achieve it, since he is the only one capable of giving us the ability to love us. If we believe that love is a feeling, we really have problems because our feelings are fickle and fluctuate but God's love is eternal, never ends. This is the whole, in that he loved us first and gave his only son, Jesus Christ, so that we could experience that inexplicable love in our life. If there is resentment in you for lack of forgiveness or for some damage from the past, today is the day when you can invite Jesus to be the Lord of your life and thus let your perfect love heal your heart of any bitterness or pain.

the best of the world is the love of God

God is Love, and his love is very different from human love. God's love is unconditional and is not based on feelings or emotions. He does not love us because we are easy to love or because we make him feel good; He loves us because he is love

He created us to have a loving relationship with him and sacrificed his own son (who was also willing to die for us) to restore that relationship.

That's right, he opened the way and now it is up to us to approach him.

I can imagine the astonishment of the Apostle Paul when he said: "Thank God for Jesus Christ." With Him, we know the essence of God's love for humanity.

That's right, thanks for reading

Thanks @mirnajvs for this elaborate topic....
God's love towards us is unconditional, pure and everlasting.....
He love us so much to the extent of "dlying for us while we are still sinners"

Thank you very much for reading.
