Did you know,as a Christian you will find yourself in front of the pulpit?Most of us have always been preached to .What if you are the preacher one day?.
Let all adhere to that role that day.When that day comes,you will definitely ask yourself,How will l deliver the sermon?
To deliver an effective preaching it is the product of two factors,one divine and the other human.

Both are necessary -for without God, Man cannot and without Man, God will not.

To be an effective preacher ,We will consider the human accept first.

Let have a look at what some young ministers asked an elderly preacher about preaching.

A group of young ministers once asked an elderly preacher :With regard to the human aspect what is the most important requirement of the preacher.He watched them closely and said "PERSONALITY".They all immediately spoke "what is personality?"They He replied once again "if only I knew"

Preaching involves communication divine truth through human personality.So the development of personality is very important when it comes to preaching.

There was an analysis done by someone concerning effective public speaking remember public speaking is distinct from preaching in this manner.
An effective speech is made up of :

• 50% subject matter
• 20% psychology of approach and conclusion
• 20% effective delivery
• 10% personality.

Yet ,that 10 percent "leavens" the whole speech!It can make the difference between a boring talk and an interesting speech.

I therefore wish we all seek the personality aspect of the preacher.Let follow this guideline

1. BE YOURSELF
   To be an effective speaker ,be yourself and relax.Tension creates nervousness.Under tension ,the memory does not function well..Speech does not flow fluently.Your attitude will communicate to the audience,and they too will feel tense.
   The best way to relax is to commit your message to God.Do the best you can and leave the result to God.

1. TRY NOT TO COPY OTHERS
   God chose You because He want to use YOU.You have some special features peculiar to you alone,and God has a purpose for them.
   It is a mistake to copy any other preacher.No matter how that preacher communication is effective it will not enhance your ministry to try to copy him.To do that is like David trying to wear Sauls Armor.
   Never copy just be yourself ,your audience will always get to know when you copy someone this will make your whole preaching not sincere and genuine.
   Be the best that you can be.

2. BE TRUE TO YOURESLF.

You are a mouth piece for God ,that He might speak to mankind through you.Integrity and honesty are essential for a preacher.God is always looking for a vessel which is honest ,free from hypocrisy and guile.
BE true to yourself.

1. BE A CLEAN VESSEL

As a Christian,if your life is polluted ,you will pollute you listeners because what you know is what you teach.
As you speak ,you polluted ideas will definitely come through the preaching,and the congregation will become polluted,too.You have to take it upon yourself to be the person God want you to be.You good attitude will even speak before you speak.

God is always ready for us ,let avail yourself before Him so that, We become a good vessel for a better course.
