CAN GOD BOAST OF YOU?

Imagine a father who used all his savings to sponsor his son for an aeronautic career after many years of not believing in the son's capacity for it. After several years of study and training, the son returns as the best pilot, being the only successful grandaunt from a class of 20 students. On returning, what would be the father's feeling? Through the son's feat, the father happens to be the guest of the President of their country. That's a great honour and I think such a father would be so proud of his son. I think such a father would be glad and outspoken to proof to anyone that his son can succeed amidst any setback.

If God is our father, he expects us to standout in performance so that he can make a great boast of us and how much we can well represent him here on earth. Let's take a look at this Biblical character -Job and learn from him.

Job 1: 6 - 12:

One day the angels[a] came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan[b] also came with them. The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?” Satan answered the Lord, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.” Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.”

“Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied. “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.” The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.” Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.

God who is the Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscient knows and sees each of His children and the condition of their heart. When He looks at some Christians, He’s delighted while others make him sick. No wonder in Gen 6:6, He regretted making man because they only grieved His soul.

But Job made God proud. God even boasted to Satan about Job’s faithfulness. If God were to talk about you with Satan, will He be proud of you or regret that He saved you?

God has invested so much in you (the life of His only begotten son) and so he expects the best from you. A song says, you can cover all your sins that no man may know, but you cannot hide it from God. How your life and what is the condition of your soul?

Let us pray:

Lord in any way I have been grieving you, I repent and receive grace to please you always.

Nugget:

I choose to give God joy not pains by my actions.

That is a very big question you havre asked here "Can God boast of us". We us Christians as part of our fellowship with Christ should let the world see Christ through us. Thanks for sharing .
