For most Christians, giving their lives to Christ is all about folding their arms and pray without making any effort. Christianity is not for the weak, you must be on your toes

Having Faith without putting it to work is foolishness.
The fellow in the second story would more likely get a job.

Following the examples of Father Abraham, Joseph and even our Lord Jesus Christ;
It was never recorded in the Bible where they were idle or lazy.
