#STEEMCHURCH: PRAY FOR NIGERIA, GHANA, VENEZUELA, WORLD LEADERS
Introduction and Greetings
Thanks be to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, head of the church, our redeemer, saviour and mediator. I am happy that He has kept us all alive and quickened us to be a voice for him here in the block chain.
I am compelled to pen this piece because I am a witness to what a corporate prayer can do. Prayer is a means of communicating with God. It avails us the privilege to remind God of His promises to us and as well make request for ourselves, our loved ones and for our nations.
O ye people of the @steemchurch @sc-n @sc-v @sc-g Know ye that you have been united for a common purpose all for the good of the body of Christ, seek it and live it.

The Call to Pray
I put up this post as a call to the leadership of the church in the block chain @Sirknight, other apostles and the leaders of the @Steemchurch parishes in Nigeria - @Adedoyinwealth; Venezuela - @Darlenys01; and Ghana - @Odsam2 and @Bigssam to pray for our Nations and Africa at large.
Our all-knowing God knew that the nations cannot exist and succeed in their dealings without a major support from the church. God had placed the church in in a good position to positively influence the leaders of the society only if the church will rise to their responsibility- PRAY.
Despite the anomaly today where the church is running after the r the world and its ways of life, it was not so in the beginning. The nation was meant to look-up to the church for advisory and direction . The is hope. It is not late that we rise to pray for our nation.
Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy in the second chapter of his First Epistle and today, the message is directed to us thus:
- I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.
- Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.
- This is good and pleases God our Savior,
- who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.
- For, there is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus.
- He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time.
- And I have been chosen as a preacher and apostle to teach the Gentiles this message about faith and truth. I’m not exaggerating—just telling the truth.
(1 Timothy 2: 1-7, New Living Translation)
It is time to rise up and pray for our nations as this our sole responsibility. It is a demand as we see Paul's use of the word "urge" in v.1. God had known the frailties of our nations' leaders and is charging us to pray God's help on them. We are called to intercede. Yes! We are to stand in the gap. They are far from understanding the ways of God but we are near the heart of God. This is why we are called to intercede for them. Our leaders do not know the essence of giving thanks, but we know. We have read and heard of how God had shown His powerful hands in the past. He has been turning the hearts of leaders as one stirreth water. He can do same for our leaders if we give thanks on their behalf.
The essence for our prayers for our kings is to ensure our peaceful coexistence. We will not deny the sound of wars in our localities. The wars are even creeping into the churches and Christendom altogether - It is is time to pray! We need peace. If our nations do not enjoy peace, then we won't enjoy peace either even in the blockchain. Through our prayers which will grant them peace, they will come to understand the ways of God and be able to lead in godliness and integrity.
In vv.3-4, we can see that God takes pleasure in our praying for our nation. He is happy as this will lead to the salvation of everyone which is God's perfect will for humanity. By our single act of prayer, the world at large will come to the full knowledge and understanding of God and His ways - It is time to pray!
God has a desire to reinstate man to his original state. That is why He (God) send Christ to be a token of sacrifice for the redemption of humanity. Christ is still the mediator, and our prayers will ensure that His sacrifice is not in vain - It is time to pray!
Remember, @Sirknight the PURPOSE of your call in the block chain was to be a Freedom Crusader. In v.6, we see Paul say and I emphasize:
- He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time.
The gifting of Christ's life is for the liberation of many from bondage. The people are to be set free and it is our responsibility to pray for this purpose to be actualized - it is time to pray!
V.7 shows that we have been chosen to preach this message as I am doing. It is the truth. God brought us to the blockchain for a time as this. He is giving us influence. Look at your reputation and number of followers, you will understand what I am saying. The time to act is now. Let's keep preaching the freedom that Christ came to give, our rewards will be earned here on earth and in heaven.

Final Words and Salutations!
We as the disciples are left with one option which is to represent him and do that which he commissioned us to do according to Matthew 28: 19-20 thus:
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
He gave a consolation in verse 18 of the same chapter of Matthew:
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
I charge you therefore as a concerned brother to be steadfast in each of your calling, be immovable in faith and always abounding in the work of the Lord. Always take to heart that the owner of the vineyard shall return when we least expect with His rewards with Him to give to every man according to his works.
Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 2: 19 (ESV)
But God’s firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.

Prayer is not one more discipline of the Christian life. On the contrary, it is the gateway to the Presence of our beloved Maker. It is the path that allows us to meet with Him and to realize what our beloved Savior Jesus Christ taught: "I tell you the truth, all that you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and all that you allow on earth will be allowed in heaven. "(Matthew 18:18 NLT) This is a powerful word. What does it mean? That everything we ask in prayer impacts the heavens, touches the heart of God, and is reflected in our environment. We go to the spiritual dimension to impact the physical, material dimension.

Lord, what the enemy means for evil against our church body, we believe You can use for good. Remind our hearts of this. When we are being attacked and crushed from all sides, remind us of Your faithfulness to use everything for Your good and Your glory. May we not fear but trust in Your provision for our church family. May we not only be readers of Your Word, but believers and doers. Increase our faith, Lord.
A Prayer for Unity as a Church Body
“I therefore, a parishioner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4:1-3

This is a great concern and we are in support of it to the latter. The Gospel of Christ must thrive and the strongholds of Satanism must be demolished through our commitment to this course. Remain blessed @uyobong.
